Venezuela’s Poor, Start rebellion against Socialist Regime, Where Is Bernie Sanders ?

Venezuela is hell on earth for the country’s poor. While the poor have long been forced into complacency thanks to welfare benefits provided by a state once wealthy off of oil revenues, the country’s coffers have dried up and now the poor are rebelling. But even as people starve socialist champions in the West remain silent, refusing to comment on the tragic plight of Venezuela’s poor. From the U.K.’s Jeremy Corbyn to Bernie Sanders, old socialist white men who have praised the impish architect of Venezuelan socialism, Hugo Chavez, cower behind abstract rhetoric about “income inequality” without accounting for the human cost of forceful government redistribution schemes.

So where is the socialist Bernie Sanders on this issue ?

Socialism does not work and Venezuela is a glaring example of that !!!!!!!!!

But they can get free flu medication in a month if they wait...

Bernie has a lot of utopian ideas, but nobody knows where to find any utopian money to support it all.

Two months ago i was thinking of raising this debate but i stopped.

Hell on earth. When God is descending they should wave their country's flag to alert God they are already living in hell and it hasn't been easy. They can't live venezuela(hell ) disc 2.

The big problem is that life's losers are only too willing to listen to the ''something for nothing'' messages spewed out by the loonie left, so they vote for those whom they perceive as modern day Robin Hoods.

Once in power the lefties over tax the wealth/job creators who relocate their business operations to countries where they can keep more of the money which their talents, entrepreneurial enterprise and hard work has generated.

If all the money on earth was pooled and then distributed evenly among the world's population it wouldn't be long before the original wealth creators would have their dosh back again and the hangers-on would be crying the 'oh poor me song'.

Corbyn and Saunders are a greater danger to their respective countries than North Korea and the so called Islamic State combined.

Maybe if Sanders would sell two of the three houses he owns and donated the proceeds, the poor would be better off. I mean, why does a socialist who preaches about income equality own three homes? He is a hoarder just like the evil capitalists he rails against. Every socialist tries to acquire as much wealth as they can, they are hypocrites.

Interesting that none of the Leftist on this site can join the debate to argue their point on how well socialism is.

I'm moderately left wing. Socialism doesn't work because people are individualistic at best, and corrupt and selfish at worst.

However, Sanders is a social democrat. Socialism is NOT the same as social democracy.

I don't agree with the whole article by any means, but this is an interesting and related read: http://wlrn.org/post/venezuelas-socialist-disaster-doesnt-nullify-americas-social-democracy

"Maybe if Sanders would sell two of the three houses he owns and donated the proceeds, the poor would be better off"

And maybe if he lived in a socialist economy instead of a capitalist one he could concentrate on something other than earning profit. Your ignorant logic implies we should not take slaves seriously when they complain, since after all they eat their master's food.

You are really upset but what you fail to understand is Bernie would not live in socialist economy he just wants his minions to.

Your argument is a complete contradiction of itself. How can there be "poor" in a "socialist regime" if the entire point of socialism is to evenly distribute wealth so that we do not have tens of millions of people living on the breadline thanks to the excesses of capitalism? You are literally taking a specific problem with capitalism and trying to apply it to a completely different economic ideology.

Furthermore, you have not even provided us with knowledge about where you are getting your information from. Debate is impossible unless all parties are willing to be open and honest with each other, and it is clear from the outset that you are not.

There are poor in a socialist regime and it is blatantly obvious redistribution of wealth in the socialist utopia is not working in Venezuela what more is there to say !

"There are poor in a socialist regime"

Poverty resultant from economic inequality is a specific problem with capitalism (i.e. all pyramid systems) and the entire point of socialism is to solve it. You do not have any coherent argument and are simply using spectacularly loaded language (i.e. "socialism" = "regime") to paint a false picture of political reality. In sum, you are just an idiot and a bullshitter.
