Yes they were. In Japan suspected Christians were forced to step on the likenesses of Jesus or the Virgin Mary to prove they didn't believe in God. Those who refused where tortured or killed.

In the early days of Christianity they were persecuted by the Jews and Romans. After the Russian Revolution churches were destroyed and members of the clergy were publicly executed because the government feared their power and persuasion.

Nazis persecuted and took over Christian members of the church who didn't conform to the Nazi belief. They had 'some' support from the Christian communities but it was some and not all. Hell the Nazi's even created it's own version of Christianity and forced their supporters to preach it, saying that Jesus despised Jews and wasn't one. The Nazi's slaughtered thousands of Christian members who didn't swear allegiance or harbored Jews.

Basically the Nazi's didn't give a damn. You had to believe in what they did or you could "visit" a camp.

Thanks for showing the facts to these bigots once more....................................

Hitler, in his twisted way, considered himself a Christian. It's a frame of mind that continues today among some (especially) white Christians. We could ask Pope Pius (IV?) if he was still alive. We could even ask him if Catholics, who worship Jesus, were persecuted by Hitler, are persecuted by other "Christians". Just who has the "Christian beliefs" that do NOT assault and persecute others because they "believe" THEY are the "true Christians". Hitler was WRONG, how many others are.....? The hate continues.
