It is impossible to be in two wars at the same time and do well. We are the only country that will try to be in two types of war sat once. That just makes a even harder war because what if we need more solders. It is impossible to get more troops. Unless the U.S.A choose to draft people like they use to do.

Next thing you know the U.S.A is going take people from then homes. Then more people will start refusing. Then more people will start going to jail. Then we will have no more adult men or adult women alive. Then we will begin taking teenage men or women into the army.

Side: Aganist

Now if we start using teenagers in the we will start losing. Cause they have no experience. Then we have to surrender their for a couple of reasons. One cause we have teenagers in the army dying. Another because we decide to give up our nation and no one will like that. Then we gave up everything we ask for.

Troops are being sent over to Afghanistan having no idea what there purpose is (i would know. My cousin just got back.) Basically they just go out and get shot at every day, never accomplishing anything, never making a difference

what started out as a needed war is now simply america trying to protect its offshore oil sources.

I don't think that parading our soldiers and (very expensive) equipment around is fighting terrorism. Perhaps what we are doing is enabling the existence of the world's premier terrorist training camp. I am convinced of this much, the terrorists are expending much less resources then we are. The loser is the one who runs out of human resources first right?

I can't help but wonder how much the Soviet Union's invasion of Afghanistan contributed to it's demise. If the warlords responsible for starting this war are in Afghanistan it would seem to me that there are smarter ways to go after them than by massive military deployment.

I wonder what's really going on. I only know what I read in the papers. There is much much much information I am not privy to. Does that make my opinion less valid?

Side: Aganist

We are at war against Afgainstan For one reason, it is because of the bombs on the twin towers and the Pentagon. If the Taliban seize power again, a newly liberalized society will once again have to obey their medieval values. Women will have a lower quality of life.We are fighting for their rights.

Side: Aganist

I am against the war for a specific reason. It is because we are into two wars right now. We can lose double amounts of troops. We should just leave the war until the war in Iraq is over. The war is just making us lose more man. That's why I am aganist the war.

Also, the Afghans are a tribal people, and always will be a tribal people. They will never form together as a single government as the Obama administration hopes they will

tribal people?? how do you valid your argument? this is called doxa(opinion),your personal point of view is very important but it cannot generalize and entire country and most importantly an entire group of humans.did you know that many important items are exported from Afghanistan that we both benefit from like: opium, fruits and nuts, handwoven carpets, wool, cotton, hides and pelts, precious and semi-precious gems

also did you know that the Afghanistan economical status was quite better before the us invasion...maybe it is the us military forces that are causing the destruction of that country which is leading them to be so called tribal. i am personally with Obama policy as it will be the first step into trying to create some sort of peace treaty between the us and the Arab world, which is a lot different from the old policy which involves interest in the natural resources of the Arabian country's (oil).

Look at you, blaming Obama. Typical. Obama was a STATE SENATOR when 9/11 happened. It is not his desicion to be in Afghanistan.

most of the arguments that are available here are based on the perspective of September 11...i totally agree with you that the act was unacceptable.i also do not agree on terrorism.but have you ever asked yourself why did it have to get here?( war). the USA represents freedom, peace,to many but how could someone who is so good reply with with the same ways as the wrong one? the war is not the answer and it cannot be the answer because its just gonna cause more fanaticism which will cause more terrorism which will lead to more wars and death. wreking a country isn't a virtuous act and cannot be accepted by any party, what should be done is a Pacific negotiations which would lead to peace between both sides by knowing there differences and regulating they're needs without influencing each other negatively.

i am against it because i have seen documentaries about what u.s. soldiers are really doing over there. ive also talked to u.s. troops who have confessed to doing inhumane things there. if you go on youtube looking for a video called taliban country, then you will see what kind of abuse is happening. i also dont believe america when they say there is a threat there because each time america attacks a country, they turn out to be innocent, and america seems to make up alot of lies to attack countries such as accusing iraq of wmd. i also dont believe viet nam or korea posed any threat to the usa.

There is no way that they are innocent. They killed 3,000 people on 9/11. And for your Korean statement, we were they fighting for the UN.

Now we have rights to get in to war with Afghanistan. For blowing up the twin tower and the pentagon. Then the try to attack the government and the president. So we have a right to get revenge on Afghanistan. As well then try to ruin our great country.

Side: For

Here's the deal. If you piss america off, theyre going to be fighting you until they win. It happened with Britain, Mexico, Britain again, then Germany, Austria-Hungary, and whoever else in WW1, then the Axis powers in WW2, then North Korea, then North Vietnam, then various countries in the Gulf War, and it's happening in Afganistan and Iraq.

Side: For

I am for the war for a lot of reasons. One reason is because of the September 11, 2001. The attack of the twin towers and of the pentagon. It began the night they knockdown the twin towers. As well as the pentagon which kill over about 2,985 people died in the September 11, 2001, attacks.

it amy have started out about the attack on the twin towers and the pentagon but what has it become about is what you need to consider.

Now what if they did destroy our country. Ruin our great country what will we do. Our country would have fallen. As well we would no leaders that mean no laws or any it. That mean people will get killed like double the amount. That also mean people can do what ever they want at any may being.

Side: For
2 points

No if we weren't in the war with Afghanistan. The whole country would have been at an outrage. So we would did the right thing to go in to war with Afghanistan. For trying to ruin the United States. As well we are in doing thing cause if they ruin this country we wouldn't know what will happen.

Side: For

The U.S. needs to stay in afghanistan and fight. They need to stay there because we dont want anymore terrorists to come to the U.S.If any terrorists come to the U.S. they would probably try and pull something to mess up the U.S.Thats why the U.S. soldiers need to stay there and protect the U.S.Because if they dont the U.S. will need up in a big mess and many people will probably get hurt.

Side: For

Remember September 11, 2001. Afghanistan under the Taliban provided the springboard for the al-Qaeda attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon.

Side: For

Of course the war in AFGHANISTAN is reasonable. al Qaeda hijacked 4 airplanes and crashed them into the Pentagon, WTC, and in Shanksville. They killed about 3,000 people, American and foreign. Now if they were sheltered and trained in Afghanistan, that is a pretty good reason why we are fighting there. We didn't start it, they did. We are just ending it.
