Was it right for us too take Hawaii?

According too the new manefest destiney during that period of time, Americans sought too expand globally, in order for us too make a global impact economically and politically, as well as spreading christianity, and darwins theory of the survival of the fittest(social darwnism). Also we wanted too compete with european powers, because during that time many european countries were expanding and colonizing globally. So in order for us too compete against other imperialistic countries we needed to be in the same game with the big dogs.

Hawaii was taken because of the tactical military advantage, and the sugar platations. The hawains wanted too make piece with us and establish a strong allied realationship out of fear and out of benefit. There were two sides too the debate on wether or not we should annex Hawaii. Obviously one side over powered the other because of the reasons I described too you. America Annexing Hawaii totally went against our own constitution! Where is the justice!

In my opinion I beleive we should have established a healthy trusting relationship with hawaii. And if any other foreign countries want to take it over we would simply defend them at any cost. They already have there own form of government. There culture was different from us, and we beleived we had too intervene and impose our own beleifs on them on what is the appropraite way too live. We shuned them out, and disrespected them and their culture and prohibited them from speaking there own native language after we annexed there country. We prostitutionalized there culture and used them for business. I beleive as an American, as a mainly white American male if this even makes a difference that what we did was wrong in every way. This sparked the new era of expansionism.
