Not the BEST MOVIE EVER OMG, but it was a very respectable, well thought-out film. The plot was flawless in my opinion and it gets better everytime you watch it. There are so many things going on and it all interconnects. It had some of the best acting as well, RIP Heath Ledger. Side: It was the best movie ever!
No it wasn't the best movie ever, that honor stays with Star Wars (OT). That being said it was a great movie. The plot was...lets face it unoriginal. Seriously, Joker is blowing up Gotham, Batman tries to stop joker for two hours, Batman and Joker have a heart-to-heart. Two-Face shows up and Batman has to deal with that. Still, it was done really well and though in retrospect the plot looks like every other Batman movie ever, that wasn't apparent from first impressions. The action was amazing, I can't find any faults with it and for once we saw Batman as the World Finest Detective...as well as the guy in black who beats up the bad guys. All in all, it was an excellent movie there's no arguing that. Side: It was the best movie ever!

Sorry I was harsh about the debate title before (btw you can change it in the moderator panel). I agree for the most part that movies should keep stories accurate to their source. That being said one must understand that film is a different sort of medium from comics or prose. Additionally, the origin of characters in a franchise must fit into the story. Both Batman Begins and Dark Knight are in a new series of Batman. Similar to what comics have done for years, Batman is being revisited and the stories are being altered slightly to fit into the greater picture. I don't feel that changing Two Face's origin altered or detracted from the story in an significant way. Side: It had some faults to it
