Water bottles, useless or use em?
Water bottles are everywhere and polluting our earth, but people are very use to the convenience of water bottles and seem to not be able to stop using them.

When I buy a bottle of water I keep using it. I just fill it with tap water and put it in the fridge. I use it until I lose the cap or something then I'll get a new one. It's not one of those save the planet things though, I do it to get cold water without messing with ice so it's really for my own convenience. I do hate when people litter though. Just throw it away. Or better yet recycle. That's right, I said recycle. Side: water bottles should be legal

First off. great..you said recycle..but you forgot that REDUCE, reuse and recycle is the order. People think that just because you recycle something then the problem is done. WRONG. we should be putting all that energy we spend recycling on actually cleaning the planet and doing productive things, not cleaning up afters our faults. Recycling isn't a 100 percent a "green" process either. Also..have you not heard that reusing plastic water bottles a lot can cause health issues. The plastic disintergrates into the water. Buy one tin, or glass bottle and use it for ever..end of problem, oh and don't worry guys "you can nice cold water in them too" ! Oh. and thanks for not giving a shit about the planet we all live on and I want my children, and their children, and their children's children...and so on..to be able to live and enjoy this beautiful planet we live on. real considerate of y'all. Thanks for being so selfish. :) Side: waterbottles should be illegal

I don't think making plastic water bottles illegal is the solution. It would be like putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound not to mention put many many people out of work; not very effective over all. So, water bottles should stay legal. If we are going to approach making a plastic product illegal why not just make plastic consumables as a whole illegal, though I believe that is a bit unrealistic as well. Plastic may not be a problem much longer anyway. A 16 year old boy from Ontario, Canada discovered what might be the greatest "green" solution of this decade. He found microbes that achieved a 46% degradation rate in a 6 month period to what would normally take 1000 years to decompose completely on its own. Pretty amazing stuff. The problem with plastics is not their use but how we deal with them when they have gone from consumable to consumed. check out this article on the microbes that were found: http://www.regeneration.org/2009/06/22/ Side: water bottles should be legal
