What Are Chatbots?

A Chatbot is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based software which is powered by rules driven by artificial intelligence, with which you can interact with via a Chat Interface. The service could be any number of things, ranging from Functional to Fun, and it could be placed in any major Chat Products (Facebook Messenger, Slack, Whatsapp, Telegram, Text Messages and many more).

If you haven’t still got the idea of how Chatbot can be leveraged in your business, here’s an example to help you visualize a Chatbot.

Example:
If you wanted to buy shoes from an online store let’s say “Amazon”, you would basically go to their website, look around until you find the shoes you wanted and then you would go ahead to purchase them.

Now, to make the process more friendly and interactive for the buyer. If Amazon makes a bot, which I’m sure they will in future, you would simply be able to message Amazon on Facebook/Website. It would then ask you what you’re looking for and would simply give you some hand picked choices based on your preferences.

So instead of browsing the entire website, you will have a conversation with the Amazon bot, mirroring the type of experience which you normally get into any other retail store.

For a more detailed brief on how any Chatbot can provide you and your business a new heights of customer satisfaction and improve the customer engagement on your website, you can review the information mentioned below in the Infographics.
