What do Allies/Enemies/Hostiles mean!

when viewing someones profile i see areas for Allies, Enemies, and Hostiles .what do these areas mean, exactly ?in some cases i may disagree with someone strongly and yet welcome their input on debates .but in other cases i could conceivably agree with someone on the issues but not like their presence in a debate because of their arguments or how they treat people .

Well, Jesus said, 'love your enemies, but nothing about your allies or hostiles.

Maybe because they're all one of the same?

Basically... nothing.

Yeah. Pretty much nothing. Allies are people you tend to agree with or appreciate their debating abilities. Enemies are people that you don't tend to agree with or appreciate their debates, and hostiles I would imagine are those that are openly hostile to you or you have a strong strong dislike of. That's my take on it.

The others are right. Basically they mean nothing. They're just one more thing a site designer thought would be meaningful but which sit unused by the vast majority of members. Personally, I accept allies when they ask for it, but I never submit for allies, nor do I pick which debates I join or not based on it.
