What generation is the better pokemon generation? Generation three or four?

This excludes any non assessable Pokémon (Gts), this invalidates any item that cant be found normally in each region, and this is dealing with all aspects of each generation (Time, variety of Pokémon (side games count so pmd), story, difficulty, etc., so please try not to put nostalgia)

Gen four, is the games Diamond, Pearl, Platinum. Diamond and pearl gave interesting starter typing's, Water/steel, Fire/fighting, and grass/ground. While on the subject of Starters Even though Infernape is a Fire/fighting type, it is faster than Blaziken in terms of speed, Empoleon Is the only starter to have a steel typing, that gives it a huge advantage over a lot of the gyms in Shinoh.

Before you say oh but the surf speed was terrible and slow, I will say that most of the area you will be at, is over land. The major exceptions are the lake's the ocean to the E4, and random place's of water where surf is available.

Let us move on to Ledgendary's, the Hoenn ledgendary's are Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza. The shinoh region's ledgendary's are Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. In a match of each ledgendary trio, no primal (due to Hoenn's ledgendary's and dialga having a primal (pseudo but Dialga takes technically the award for first primal), And useing base items they are known for. Shinoh ledgendarys would win due to there typing's, there stats, and there move polls.

The variety of the pokemon in shinoh is a little bit larger, due to the fact that they created final evolutions for many old pokemon. The Shinoh E4 is the hardest out of the bunch, partly due to pre nerfed Cynthia's team, She has no weaknesses, and a wide variety to deal with anything you pull out. Plus the music in both regions is pretty good (so that is a plus to both of them.)

I'm kind of prejudiced because my first main series Pokemon game was Pokemon Diamond so naturally I like that generation better. Also Heart Gold is my second favorite pokemon game right behind black 2
