What happens when God gets tired of a person?

But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.

Ahem. I think most on this site would agree you get tiresome really fast. Hey, even if he does let you into heaven somehow he's going to get tired of you too. And if he doesn't send you to hell for it he'll probably at least take you for a long drive and the drive off while you're in a truck stop bathroom.

Then don't look to the rest us. We don't pick up hitch hikers.

Have you heard that when I get tired of fools, I ban them and pray they will see it illustrates how God will get tired of them and banish them forever in Hell if they won't repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ?

What if the devil is your father and you can't think of anything better to do than try to make God look stupid and yourself look smart?

Answer the question you bogart.

would you quit whining about being banned in my debates.......you know I'm going to ban you when you talk stupid, quit whining or quit talking stupid and you won't get banned by me.

This is why I call you a punky punk using bullying tactics. The topic of the OP is simple and if you were an adult and not a college age punk, you would be able to discuss it instead of parading yourself in here as the spokesman of most people on this site, as if they elected you to come here and insult me.

You and your gang of punks can't get yourself out of dying, can't stop yourself from going to Hell. Nothing changes with you, and I've done all I could. I'll always ban you because from the first time you ever posted, this is the garbage you declare proves our debating talents. Take it somewhere else, thanks.

Yes, then He uses them for bad examples even while at times some of the good they do helps slow the tide of evil in the world.

I kinda like the way you put it, and the Bible puts it this way:

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD.

1 point

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

1 point

Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.

These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

You're not going to die?? What's your secret? The "everlasting life" dream? That's the top selling point in ANY Christian or Muslim religion. Without that, what's the sense? Forgettaboudit!

Dying IS something. It's something we ALL have to do, so WTF. Face it. I'm 79, In answer to your question, It shouldn't be as long as most. I appreciate, though, the extra time I have been allowed to exist over and above several of my friends. I LIKE it here, but, I realize all things must end, nothing I can do about it without imagining another afterlife ... which I simply can't imagine ... guess "GOD" didn't lay out a convincing plan for me.

Wonder why that all powerful entity chose ME to stay where I love it most so much longer than so many??? Guess HE likes me more than YOU do!??? Atheist delusion?? Whatever, I'll take it.

What happens when I get tired of you? I ban you and leave you on the outside forever and I won't hear you whining about being barred from my kingdom. What happens when God gets tired of you? Have you heard of Hell, where the worm never dies and the fire is never quenched, and there is weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth?

Saintnow(3684) Disputed

There are only two possible reasons God is giving you time.

1) He knows you are going to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ

2) He knows you will not believe and does not want you to be in Hell so He is using you for a purpose known only to Him before He gets tired of you and lets you go your own way forever against Him.

Question, what do you think of other religions ?

Saintnow(3684) Disputed
1 point

Religions are about what a person is supposed to do trying to get assurance of not ending up in Hell forever.

Jesus Christ is about what God did to save us from Hell. He is a person, not a religion.

It's about what you do in religions.

Jesus Christ is a person, not a religion, and the message of Christianity is about what God did for us when He plunged into our dying and died for us, to pull us up out of our dying.

I want to tell you a true life story of when I pulled four people out of an overturned minivan after a traffic accident. Have you seen the story? I posted it two or three times I other places.

1 point

Well again you quote from the Bible, this time from the Torah, and if i remember, the Book of Numbers?

Antiquated Hebrew mythology, friend. Even though I'm a Born Again Christian I don't believe everything in the Bible was written by God. Or even inspired by Him. Some of it was written by men as a control tactic. Like the passage you just quoted.

God never 'tires' of us. Why would a Loving Father tire of a child? Even an errant or disobedient one?

Here' s sort of litmus test I always do when I read a bible passage about the Lord exacting some sort of revenge on his people: I ask myself if a Loving Father would do that to a child who disobeyed? Or even committed a crime?

if the answer is no then I chalk the passage up to old timey scare tactics, like the churches used. always remember the bible has been heavily edited and censored and cherry picked!

God Bless.

You teach doctrines of devils from Hell, denouncing the Lord's resurrection, denying His omnipotence. I'm going ban you as soon as I see you in any of my debates. I think your conversion and feeling of being born again when you decided not to blow your brains out was nothing but a demon getting in on you and giving you a different way of acting....and you sure don't have the Holy Spirit in you or you could not deny the Lord's resurrection and you could not say He is less than omnipotent in any way at any time.

I think you are lost and need to get saved and get those demons out of your life, a lot of which are attached to you with your evil music which you have promoted here.

1 point

You could try to make this about it but I actually know better. When you say people can or can't it isn't straight facts you are always dodging the question. How can we get tired if we aren't from there or going there? You tell me.

Not sure what you are trying to say here, the question is "what happens when God gets tired of a person" in other words, what happens when God loses patience with a person?
