What if there was a CreateDebate party, where you could meet everyone, would you go?

Yes, i would go.

Only so I could lecture people. The debates here lately are a complete waste of time, and this saddens me.

What do you mean?

Side: Yes, i would go.

I don't mean this debate, I mean most of them on create debate. They aren't really debates.

What I mean is, I would go to this party and tell everyone that they need to act like they have a life and post some better debates. Something that isn't exactly YES vs. NO. Go read some philosophy, a chapter in morals and ethics, create one that is actually useful and difficult...

I would like to see though, just what people are really like here on CD, in RL, especially JoeC.

Side: Yes, i would go.

What kind of debates are a waste of time do you think? And what would you like to see more of?

Side: I doubt it
3 points

of course ! it would be nice to meet the people i virutally argue with on a regular basis. xD

plus, i would looove to see the look on the faces of the people i argue with most when they realize i'm like half their age in comparison. c[:

Side: Yes, i would go.

I would go only if they were handing out kevlar vests at the door ;)

I'd pose as a hobo and crash the party, eat up all the cheese, spike the punch, then disappear, only to reappear shortly as my normal self, get drunk, complain loudly and ceaselessly about the lack of cheese and the hobo smell of the place, until everyone hates me, and I leave you in scorn.

Great party, losers.

Side: Yes, i would go.

That would be hilarious. Maybe I've been underestimating you, are you always that funny and have I just been missing the boat by taking you seriously?

Side: Yes, i would go.

Sure, if it were in Vegas.

I wouldn't debate though, I'd spend the whole time trying to get kuk and repubgal to make out ;)

Side: Yes, i would go.

I tip my hat to you, sir

That has to be one of the stupidest things on this site I have read, that Joe has not posted, that is.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to be smart tiger. I'd enjoy the irony of it though, Repubgal citing the bible when it comes to gayness and all...

Side: Yes, i would go.

I would go, it would be very interesting to meet everyone in person. But, yeah it would be a little awkward.

Side: Yes, i would go.

From that standpoint, yes, it would be interesting to meet everyone. I'm just afraid it would end up to be disaster, unless we stayed off debating and just had a party.

Side: I doubt it

haha, AMEN. i don't think a party would be the best place to have a political debate or otherwise.

hey Rabbit ! i can totally see Joe being the life of the party. xD

Side: Yes, i would go.

Yes sounds fun. We can all get over the awkwardness with a few glasses of bubbly. Right?

We set all the tables together so there's no groups. We have the whole weekend so there is plenty of time. No name tags at first. Sounds great...

Hey we all get to go home, without each other. What does not kill us makes us stronger.

Metal detectors a must.

Side: Yes, i would go.

If it was somewhere really nice, like Hawaii, I'd probably go.

If it were in some off-beat, backwater location, I'd have to think about it.

Of course, it also depends on how far in advanced the party was announced. Airline tickets ain't cheap.

Side: Yes, i would go.

There appears to be a wide range of people that use CreateDebate, and I think it could be interesting just seeing them and listening to them in person.

Side: Yes, i would go.

Everyone on here is like my family and yes I would love it if we could meet somewhere.

Side: Yes, i would go.

I think it would be awesome to meet many of you in person. There are two prerequisites; booze and music. (And maybe a boxing cage for those of you who cannot act civilly)

Side: Yes, i would go.

No, because I feel that it would be a bunch of people talking over each other, not really listening to each other at all... at least that is how this site has been going the past week or so...

Side: No, awkward.

Hmmm...

First of all, some participants on here I am truly afraid of! That's right. Some of you scare me!!!! ;)...

On the other hand, we could cut out the technology and rely on nothing but the raw facts we could pull of the top of our heads. I would be interested to see how well some of the most successful debaters could do without having to constantly google the meaning of this and that! =]

So, yes. I might drop in to see how debaters work in real time. However, I would not stay long because after a few attacks the CreateDebate party would turn into a CreateDebate war. The ambulance and the cops would show up. It would be a huge disaster in the end... ;)

Side: as long as there are no sirens

That makes two of us! I'm afraid of all of you.

To: Whoever disagrees with my previous argument...

Geeze. If you are going to downvote me on a completely lighthearted topic I beg you to explain your reasoning!!!!

That is all.

So you are knocking those of us who reference our facts? For the record, I know about what I am talking about, but for those who want to learn more or for those who don't believe me, I provide a reference... this is a basic concept of a proper debate.

No, no I am not.

I am saying, very matter-of-factly, that those who know there politics and do not rely solely on the twisted opinions of the media are better off. See. Simple. ;)

Side: No, awkward.

What if we had a compromise. Instead of meeting face to face we somehow got a video conference thing going, a lot like the town hall meetings but you could actually see and talk to the people.

I'm just throwing this out there because I'm not sure if this is even possible.

Side: video chat

This can be done with a $35 web cam and Skype. I'm already set up ;)

Side: No, awkward.

I don't like to attend parties unless it's with people i actually know. and even then, really, there has to be something awesome about it.

Side: No, awkward.

No, because debates would happen and that's much better kept over internet without all that useless face-making and intimidation of any sorts.

Plain text is cool for me.

Side: No, awkward.

Do you really think debates would take over a party? Geeze, I don't think that would happen unless one had no other life or didn't know how to party!

Side: I doubt it

I'm only 15 so no. But if there was a party where you could meet only a few people then maybe. (;

Side: No, awkward.

No, because i know only losers would be there.

And don't pretend to be insulted.

You know its true.
