Mac is way better. For starters they have ipods, ipads, and iphones which are way better than almost any other device in their class, and their computers are just easier to use and faster, better graphics, sound, and EVERYTHING.
These people are just brainwashed by Apple. there's no getting into their minds that apple makes the same products with almost same material just better advertising and scamming people out their money.
Keywords "a PC" one Mac vs thousands of other PC's. have you owned every single PC? i dot think so. so how can you sit here and say that a mac is better then a PC when you haven't owned or researched about the thousand of other PC's. so please explain?
Because you are supporting each other, not debating with evidence or anything like that... If you take out the comments that give no flesh to this debate then the PC is winning.
You seem to be Apple brainwashed... Don't be so credulous. Do some research and not on Apple sites or Apple-dedicated sites. Honestly, I've seen some of them, they are full of lies, to make people think their products are superior when in reality they are not. To make people buy more of their stuff, their way overpriced stuff.
I said they have more CHOICES in EVERY aspect, I said it because it is a fact, and a fact does not require any evidence. You can custom build a PC, you can choose every single detail by hand you want to have in a PC. That means you can choose the best processor there is, the best videocard, and all else, the best. Can you do the same when buying a Mac? No you can't. Plus, doing just that when buying a PC comes far CHEAPER than buying the best Mac.
As to software. PC has so many choices. Mac? Very few, most things that run on a PC won't run on a Mac. Is this true the other way around? No.
Do some research and not on Apple sites or Apple-dedicated sites. Honestly, I've seen some of them, they are full of lies, to make people think their products are superior when in reality they are not. To make people buy more of their stuff,
do you think PC sellers don't brainwash people to buy their products? of course they do, everybody does when selling a product.
I've already done some research right now, if you go to youtube and type in 'pc vs mac' the macs are kicking the PC's but!
do you think PC sellers don't brainwash people to buy their products? of course they do, everybody does when selling a product.
They don't do it as Apple does. Apple literally lies, when the others don't do it so blatantly. And, of course, Apple products are way too expensive for what the customer receives.
I've already done some research right now, if you go to youtube and type in 'pc vs mac' the macs are kicking the PC's but!
What specification do the Macs and PCs there have? Who made the video, who provided it? Apple fanboys or someone unbiased?
Apple has a sort of cult behind it. And it consists of people who unerringly adhere to it, people who are ignorant about computers, and thus they advertise Apple products as superior whenever and wherever they can. Sort of like a religion.
What specification do the Macs and PCs there have? Who made the video, who provided it? Apple fanboys or someone unbiased?
you make it sound like that the people who like mac better can't have an opinion.
Should I go to a PC lover instead to ask what is better?

I bought a mac recently, I was told sertain things about the mac, how good it is, and how fast it is. My mac has kept all those promises.
When I bought my PC, the seller told me alot of things, and the PC did make it to 4 of the 9 promises he made.
You're looking at the facts, but Im just talking from experience.
you make it sound like that the people who like mac better can't have an opinion.
They can have an opinion but the issue is what it is based on. In most cases their opinions come from ignorance.
Should I go to a PC lover instead to ask what is better?
Preferably someone who actually knows something about computers, both hardware and software.
I bought a mac recently, I was told sertain things about the mac, how good it is, and how fast it is.
Did they say it by comparing it to PCs?
When I bought my PC, the seller told me alot of things, and the PC did make it to 4 of the 9 promises he made.
What exactly were the 9 promises?
You're looking at the facts, but Im just talking from experience.
What caused you to have those experiences? There are different aspects to look at, both from your side, the seller's, and the product itself.
Experience without knowing the facts is not exactly "healthy". If you don't know the facts, you are led by emotions, and emotions tend to lead to rash decisions.
They can have an opinion but the issue is what it is based on. In most cases their opinions come from ignorance.
My opinion isn't from ignorance, simply its coming from, that I have had two PC's and one mac, and the mac beats the crap out of the PC. I don't know what 'most people' do, I talk from experience.
Can I ask, have you ever owned a mac?
Preferably someone who actually knows something about computers, both hardware and software.
I asked online, I reasearhed online, I asked the 'computernerd' at my school and also the computer nerds in my family. I didn't just go to the store a think, wow that computer has a beautiful design. No, I asked people what computer should I buy considering Im starting college after summer? And they all said that mac is really good, specially to do schoolwork. And yes, it is good, and I use it to do my homework, right now finals are on my calender, so Im using it alot these days, and it so good and smooth to use, if you know what I mean. The only bad thing they said about the mac is, that it is very expensive, but they also said its worth it.
And I also think it is.
Did they say it by comparing it to PCs and What exactly were the 9 promises
I don't remember all of them, I do remember it was 9, because the seller read from a brochure that I got to keep. There were nine thing that the computer was told to be able to.
One of them was a long battery life, should last up to 4 hours.. My battery lasted 1 hour when it was brand new, and when it was 4 months old, it didn't last at all. It had to be connected to electricity at all time. I went to the store when it was new to ask why the battery only lasted 1 hour, and they said thats how much it can last.
1 hour is not what I call a long battery life. I think that one was the most dissapointing of all.
Also the harddrive was supposed to be 750GB large, but what they didn't tell me was, that I had to buy something extra. I never bought it, so my harddrive could only carry 300GB.
It was a long time ago, about 2 years, and my computer and everything that comes with it is not in my house anymore, so I can't remember the rest.
But those were the two I was really dissapointed about.
What caused you to have those experiences? There are different aspects to look at, both from your side, the seller's, and the product itself.
Experience without knowing the facts is not exactly "healthy". If you don't know the facts, you are led by emotions, and emotions tend to lead to rash decisions.
I think I've said enough.
I think I know the facts that are the most important. My mac is better than my PC's.
Im not speaking from researching, im speaking from experience. I have used both and mac is way faster than your average pc and i like it more. the liking part just depends on opinion, but from what ive seen, mac has alot better performance. Tell me, do you own a mac?
Im not speaking from researching, im speaking from experience.
I take it you know very little of computers.
I have used both and mac is way faster than your average pc and i like it more.
Very weak comparing.
What were the PCs specifications and what are the Macs specifications? They can vary significantly.
Each year new and updated hardware is produced, which is faster then the old. Over the years the old become slow compared to the new ones.
Tell me, do you own a mac?
I don't need to own one. I can see the specifications from their online shop, then I can look up the prices of each individual piece of hardware. Then I can put together a PC with that hardware. Then I compare their prices and the difference... is double or more, making buying a Mac not worth it.
And the software, PC has so much more variety and choices.

Its funny how all the people who say mac is crap, never owned a mac themselves, while those who own a mac just love it.
Come talk to me about computers when you decide to buy a mac.
Then tell me wich computer you like more.
If you haven't tried both, then your opinion isn't 'fact' like you say.
Then its just like arguing about what tastes better, bananas or pineapples. You can't say whats best if you haven't tasted them both.
Its funny how all the people who say mac is crap, never owned a mac themselves, while those who own a mac just love it.
If I can see what hardware it consists of and I know a Mac does not support as much software as a PC does and it costs a lot more, of course I can say it is crap when compared to a PC.
They love it because they are illiterate in regard to computers. Or because they don't need all that a PC can offer.
Come talk to me about computers when you decide to buy a mac.
Why would I waste money on a computer when I could get a much better one with the same money?
Then tell me wich computer you like more.
PC, because I need freedom. I have to be able to choose for myself, both hardware and software.
If you haven't tried both, then your opinion isn't 'fact' like you say.
As I have said, PC with same specs is cheaper and has far more variety in both hardware and software. How is that not a fact?
Then its just like arguing about what tastes better, bananas or pineapples. You can't say whats best if you haven't tasted them both.
I can say which one is best, if I know what they consist of, what my body is like, and from that I can determine how they can impact my body.
PCs and Macs have fundamental differences, as in Macs lack a lot when compared to PCs.
Why would I waste money on a computer when I could get a much better one with the same money?
trust me, you'd love it. It is not a waste of money, its probablt the best money I've ever spent :)
PC, because I need freedom. I have to be able to choose for myself, both hardware and software. and I can say which one is best, if I know what they consist of, what my body is like, and from that I can determine how they can impact my body.
As long as you haven't tried the mac, I wont take your opinion as a real opinion,
just something you read on the internet and suppose its right. Sorry! I try to respect all opinions that other have, but when someone tries to tell me that something is better than something else, when they don't know what the hell they're talking about, then I can't take him/her seriously.
Yes you can buy the fruit by looking at the ingredients, but at the end, the taste has a huge difference. You don't wanna make dinner that is good for your body, but tastes like crap :)
just something you read on the internet and suppose its right.
I read what the Mac consists of, what makes it what it is, and when it comes to PCs there are even better available components.
when they don't know what the hell they're talking about,
I know exactly what I am talking about. I could, literally, build a computer myself if I bought all the components separately. That requires knowledge about computers. I know what I'm talking about.
I've said why a PC is better, when you consider all aspects and leave out personal needs. You just don't seem to follow.
You don't wanna make dinner that is good for your body, but tastes like crap
Yeah... I tend to look at the healthy part, even if it does not taste as good as something else.
Yeah... I tend to look at the healthy part, even if it does not taste as good as something else.
I live healthy, as in I eat healthy.
I've learned to make healthy food that tastes awesome :) Go ahead and eat crap if you want to.
I know exactly what I am talking about. I could, literally, build a computer myself if I bought all the components separately. That requires knowledge about computers. I know what I'm talking about.
I've said why a PC is better, when you consider all aspects and leave out personal needs. You just don't seem to follow.
Im sorry if I made it look like I think you don't know what you're talking about when it comes to computers. I don't think you know what you're talking about, when it comes to Mac computers :) because you have no experience with it.
Please explain how one mac is better then a varied amount of 100+ PC's? PC's with faster processors, more customization, And oh yea you cant play online games with mac can you?
I think others have made it very clear what the mac do, I didn't think an intelligent person like you had the need to hear it once again.
The mac is so much faster and has so many more benefits.
Im really tired of writing what the mac is able to at the moment. But if you read my other many comments on this one, and also the comments commented by others, you'll see what macs can better.
Its the details in your opinion about the mac being better then PC. there's nothing wrong with liking macs better its just the part where you say macs are faster and better then PCs
Well you didn't specify that you were only talking about your PCs. the way you were saying it was as if macs are better then all macs. and I'm not brainwashed, I'm just stating facts.
your facts are as much facts as my facts are.. so just stop it with those 'facts' I've heard enough of those. These facts you and someone else I just argued with about the same thing.. its just crap.
When I talk about PC's, I talk about my experience with them, just like you do with yours.
No, not only my PC's.. my mothers, my fathers, my siblings, my grandparents.. they've all had or they have PC's.. and my parents have recently switched to mac, and they say it is amazing how much difference it makes.
I've tried many many many PC's, and my mac is just better.
but have you tried all PC's? nope i don't think so. and possibly the PC's you and your folks had or have don't have the updated hardware like todays PC's do.
My family all had different brands.. can't remember them all
And yes I think we all had updated hardwares, all our PC's were bought in 2009-2010
And it was very new models we bought, once who hadn't been on the market for a long time, so if Im not mistaken, that would make it an updated hardware.
Ah I'm so sorry. i thought Ive owned 3 PC's and one mac. but according to you i haven't owned both. all of my PC's burned the mac in speed and in everything i used for them. the only thing mac has is advertising. I'm not saying the mac is bad, its a good product but people like you think its the best thing out there when its clearly not.
For starters they have ipods, ipads, and iphones which are way better than almost any other device in their class,
The only reason they are considered the way you do is because they are overhyped, and thus overpriced. Fooling people into thinking the tag on them is just right, well, it's not. Plus I've heard so many stories of people having issues with them, and that the Apple support fails at fixing the issue.
Apple is a bad company.
their computers are just easier to use and faster, better graphics, sound, and EVERYTHING.
That is so wrong. A PC you can custom build using the latest hardware, while buying a Mac there isn't as much variety and if you manage to get one with as good specs, it will cost more than double the price of the PC. (I checked Mac prices on their website, so I know for a fact how overpriced they are.)
A computer's speed is mostly determined by its processor. Mac and PC use the same processors. If you had a custom-built PC it could easily outrun a Mac in EVERY aspect.
The only reason they are considered the way you do is because they are overhyped, and thus overpriced. Fooling people into thinking the tag on them is just right, well, it's not.
I'm not saying whether they are worth their price or not, im just saying that they are good preforming.
That is so wrong. A PC you can custom build using the latest hardware, while buying a Mac there isn't as much variety and if you manage to get one with as good specs, it will cost more than double the price of the PC.
First off, i have a custom built pc, and its still slower. And to get a very good custom built is very expensive. And the reason macs dont require a variety is because the ones they have are already great.
First off, i have a custom built pc, and its still slower.
What are the PC's specifications and what are the Mac's?
If one is years old and you buy a new one of course the new one will be faster than the old one. The technology inside the new one might not have even existed back then and if it did it was much more expensive.
And to get a very good custom built is very expensive.
Far cheaper than a Mac of same specs would be.
And the reason macs dont require a variety is because the ones they have are already great.
A PC can be greater, because with a PC you can CHOOSE hardware.
MacPro's on their website have only ATI Radeon HD 5770 with 1GB. That is 5th series, the newest are 7th, and you cannot choose newer ones.
It all comes down to hardware, and if hardware is the same on both performance is the same on both. Software can change performance a little but if everything is running the way it should then software alone determines nothing.
Take it like this. There are different languages but in essence they exactly the same. The software part, how it sounds, is different, but still similar, and one is more advanced than the other. One is more elaborated, has more words, and thus it takes more time to learn, but in the end is well worth it because there are so many more ways to express yourself. The other is not as advanced, has less words, is easier to learn, and you cannot express yourself as well, overall, not worth it. But then not all need as many words to express themselves.
The "cannot express yourself so well" is also the money part, over time it sets you back, because you could gain so much more with the other.
Oh, and I live right next to Russia... nothing good to say about it, a bad country.
You can't learn anything from just reading about the mac.
With that logic one cannot learn anything about science also, one'd have to do it, practice it.
With that logic one cannot learn anything about science also, one'd have to do it, practice it.
exactly! :)
Oh, and I live right next to Russia... nothing good to say about it, a bad country.
Yeah Im not gonna give my opinion on the contrey itself, I never been there and don't really know how and why its a bad countrey.

I have nothing to say about this comment, except without using the mac, you can't know what it does. That is simply impossible And that is a FACT!
Not to use a computer dosen't make you smart on it.
Yeah Im not gonna give my opinion on the contrey itself, I never been there and don't really know how and why its a bad countrey.
As a whole they are hostile and provocative against anyone and anything not Russian, even against their own people if they have different views than the others. The country I live in, most crimes (70%, or was it even 80%) are committed by Russians. Some 40% (total population roughly 1,4 million) of the population of my country is Russian, that is a lot of crime for so little number. And there are many other countries who thoroughly dislike and even hate Russia for their past and present (toward evil) deeds.
It's a long topic...
except without using the mac, you can't know what it does.
It does the same as a PC, simply a bit different and without as much compatibility with other software.
Not to use a computer dosen't make you smart on it.
Perhaps the software part, when it comes to using it.
"*" with that symbol, one on each side of the text makes it italic, two make it bold, three italic and bold. It's also said after "Write your argument:", the ? mark.
I think that mac is mach better, smarter and more funcianal than pc. also mac have more appotortunities and useful soft. actualy a have both and anestly i use more mac, becouse windowse is not so comfortable and it is not so logical as mac.
It depends on what goals you have priority. MAC is technically reliable, but the software expensive and rare. And the more you write between what you choose models. In general, a lot of detail. If you work with images, the MAC taxis, but only from 24 inch monitor, and if the documents are printed, the PC will be enough.
I would say a Mac. Owning both a Mac and a PC, i use my Mac more often. I mean i see how PC could annialte the Mac if they wanted to. With so many options of programms and mods. but too many options are also bad. I prefer a mac for many reasons.
I see your points lol but in my opinion having the Unibody solid state Mac is wonderful! My Mac aint trippin!! no moving parts it is amazing and durable as hell. PC interface is old for me, i wanted something different and more "me" friendly and i got it :)
i think its beatiful because you can get your aluminum mac engraved :)
My needs require fast computing in the auto industry. I am trying to get a major in motor engeneering. :) Pc, not good at that.
PC's are fast? They are maybe fast but not as nearly as fast as mac.
That depends on the processor, there are many varieties.
For example, Intel Core i7 3820 3,6GHz. That has 4 cores, a total of 14.4 GHz, and that is fast. And both machines can have it on them. Not to mention there are processors designed for overclocking, meaning you could easily go for 4 GHZ a core or above, but that would very likely require an extra cooling system.
Macs are wayyy more expensive, with their cheapest computer being a laptop (a macbook air) for $999. However, their cheapest desktop is $2499. I built my pc for gaming and added a lot of extra features to it for $1500 and it tops a IMAC and MACPRO in performance.
MACS are constantly being outdated quicker due to releasing newer versions of computers each year and taking away updates from older computers. This behavior is typical of a corporation like Apple to keep their customers advancing WITH THEM.
PCs can be purchased for less than $300 and still contain advanced hardware and performance in graphics and sound. Just look at bestbuy's selection. You can build and customize PCs for less than 800 easily and still maintain performance on par with apple computers.
PC's have been loyal to us ever since the beggining. Macs have a lot to do with apple where as PC's are Universal and dont have as many restrictions as Apple does.
Macs are fast and easy to use, which is certainly better for a lot of people, but PCs are almost in a different category with the dynamics involved. There are custom builds out there that are absolute beast machines in comparison to Apple products. Aside from that, I find Apple to be overpriced for what they offer, especially with the way they try to limit what you do to their own software. Simple and easy to use, yes. But as far as power, cost/efficiency, and customizations go? PC's dominate.
I still think PC is better, though the mac is catching up quickly. We will need to see what position apple takes on software and open hardware in the next few years.
If you consider Mac as better you have no idea what you are talking about. I'm not even gonna list the advantages of a PC, they should be obvious to anyone familiar enough with both.
I baught a PC two years ago, and it was slow to begin with (I didn't notice thou, thought every computer was like that) But Then recently I got a mac, and its soooo fast. I was like wow. Its aazing.
I think pc's are for gamers and computernerds, and macs are for musicans and ladies ;)
I baught a PC two years ago, and it was slow to begin with (I didn't notice thou, thought every computer was like that) But Then recently I got a mac, and its soooo fast. I was like wow. Its aazing.
I take it you don't know very much about the hardware (so much variety) a computer is made of, in which part PC easily outruns Mac.
PC supports almost everything that has been created for computers, and has a lot of alternatives.
I think pc's are for gamers and computernerds, and macs are for musicans and ladies ;)
The reason for that is customizability, the hardware part. You don't have that option with Mac. So, of course gamers won't use a Mac. Mac next to a PC supports far less software and has less alternatives. The harsh truth about Apple, their products are inferior while they charge more than a PC of same specifications would cost.
Um... I just checked Mac prices (Apple store). You can get as fast and as good PC with half the price of a Mac. This actually was a surprise to me, I have always known Apple is a bad company but I did not expect them to be this blatant.
I see your point, but I just because you think PC's are better, dosen't mean they are.
People are sooo different, you can never agree on one thing. So when I go shop for a computer, I look at sertain things, and so do you, but those thing might be different.
So saying that I don't know anything about computers just because I like mac better than PC, is just wrong.
About the price.
I never regret bying a 999 dollar computer from apple, how ever I DO regret bying a 600 dollar computer from HP. I don't think anyone can convinse me to buy a PC ever again.
I see your point, but I just because you think PC's are better, dosen't mean they are.
I don't think so, I know so for a fact. PCs have much more variety and alternatives, both hardware and software. Double the price of a PC means you should get a much better computer, but you don't. They are way too overpriced, you essentially pay double for the "Apple" on the product.
People are sooo different, you can never agree on one thing.
I've seen that a lot.
So saying that I don't know anything about computers just because I like mac better than PC, is just wrong.
I didn't say you don't know anything, just that not enough.
I never regret bying a 999 dollar computer from apple, how ever I DO regret bying a 600 dollar computer from HP.
If you ask me then spending double the price of a PC, which has potentially better specifications than the way overpriced Mac does, is a waste of money.
All of them can break one way or another, even Mac. It all comes down to how you treat them. Also, if you pay more for something, you are far more inclined to treat it well.
I don't know how to quote what you said, so im just gonna copy the old way.
"I don't think so, I know so for a fact. PCs have much more variety and alternatives, both hardware and software. Double the price of a PC means you should get a much better computer, but you don't. They are way too overpriced, you essentially pay double for the "Apple" on the product."
Oh, you know so for a fact? I bet you know everything then don't ya?
If PC's are so damn good, then why is the macbook pro the most popular computer last year?
It was voted by computer experts to be best laptop you can get today.
Im not saying that just because ''experts'' think so, that its true. But when I share a opinion with some experts, I don't think you or anybody else can come to me and say that their opinion is 'fact'.
"I didn't say you don't know anything, just that not enough."
You don't know what I know about computers, you don't know me.
"If you ask me then spending double the price of a PC, which has potentially better specifications than the way overpriced Mac does, is a waste of money."
I've owned a very popular HP computer, the seller told me, that this was the best computer I could possibly get for that amount of money it costs, and so did reviews from other owners too.
But sadly, one year after it just colapsed. It wasn't virus, I didn't ''harm'' it in any way, it was just not working anymore.
And guess what, that happened to my other PC too, and also my mothers PC and my dads PC.
Now we've all switched to mac, and we have been mac owners for a couple of years now. We've had minor problems with them, that could easily be fixed.
"All of them can break one way or another, even Mac. It all comes down to how you treat them. Also, if you pay more for something, you are far more inclined to treat it well."
Yeah sure all computers can break, their not imortal, so they will break at some point.
I've treated all my computers the same way, and the mac is just better. The battery is still working fine after a year, it didn't with the PC.
You can say all you want, about treating computers right, but I've treated my mac and all my PC's the same way. My mac is just waaaay better.
Oh, you know so for a fact? I bet you know everything then don't ya?
No, not everything, just looking at the facts.
If PC's are so damn good, then why is the macbook pro the most popular computer last year?
It's called advertisement and building up the hype. Fooling people into buying stuff that really ain't that good, or have significant downsides. I've seen it in other areas also, not just with Apple products (movies, books, games).
It was voted by computer experts to be best laptop you can get today.
Then those experts must either be ignorant or paid by Apple.
The best laptop one can get is by having it custom built, that also includes having a lower price tag than a Mac of the same caliber.
Im not saying that just because ''experts'' think so, that its true. But when I share a opinion with some experts, I don't think you or anybody else can come to me and say that their opinion is 'fact'.
I've seen "expert" conducted research before. Wasn't anything "expert" about it. But that's just some of them, not all.
You don't know what I know about computers, you don't know me.
You're right, I do not know you, but considering what you have said regarding Macs and PCs I can surely say you don't know enough about them to have an objective opinion.
The question of the debate is, "What is better pc or mac?" PC does trump Mac, but not all need everything that a PC can offer, so they go for Mac.
I've owned a very popular HP computer, "the seller told me", that this was the best computer I could possibly get for that amount of money it costs, and so did reviews from other owners too.
"the seller told me"... I've had experience with that. As much as to I will never trust any sellers myself, their goal is to sell and doesn't really matter if they leave some things untold or downright lie. If I intend to buy something I do my own research.
Popular means what has sold a lot, not that it definitely is the "best" version what a certain amount of money can buy.
Most consumers themselves know nothing about the product and what makes it what it is, all they see is the "touchable", the pretty and shiny part. They are easily fooled.
But sadly, one year after it just colapsed. It wasn't virus, I didn't ''harm'' it in any way, it was just not working anymore.
Sometimes the product is simply faulty, in that case the company you bought it from has to fix the issue, or give a new one. If the warranty is still valid.
The warranty deal is another issue, what I have noticed is that companies knowingly produce weak products, so that consumers should buy a new one after a few months to a few years. For example, I had a hard-drive, it held on 3 years and that's it. then I replaced it with an old one, 10 or so years old, and it still works just fine, although a little slower then the newer one was. Their goal is to produce money, including fooling people into buying things again and again. Apple is no different, in fact one of the worst examples.
And guess what, that happened to my other PC too, and also my mothers PC and my dads PC.
Sounds like extreme misfortune. Computers collect dust easily, if not cleaned up they can break. In fact I think I should clean my own, been months. There are some sneaky viruses, unaware mistreatment, unstable electricity (although they should have protection against this), and of course faulty components. And PCs have a lot more software, which means Operating System must have compatibility with all of them, and the software can be faulty also and it can physically damage the computer. Mac has far less software that can run on it, in that aspect it is much safer.
Now we've all switched to mac, and we have been mac owners for a couple of years now. We've had minor problems with them, that could easily be fixed.
There's an 8 years old PC next room to me, still works fine. And it has had very heavy use.
"*" one of that on either side of the text makes it italic, two on either side makes it bold, three bold and italic. It's also after the "Write your argument", the ? in a circle.
I don't play games or anything. I use my computer very simply. Facebook and other social websites like gmail and stuff, and Im a student, so I also use it to make my homework with, and the appstore has some good equipments for me to do this very easily. Like notebooks and stuff, and I think that is the thing that made me think better of mac.
I can see the benefits of having a PC, one is, that if you purchase the microsoft word for homeuse and students, you get something calles Onenote, wich I think is sooo cool, and I hope its soon available on macs.
I would have to say a PC is better than MAC because thats what I use. My PC runs great with windows vista. I can install many games on it and programs on it. I have never used a MAC so I really cant say how well a MAC runs. I just dont know how easy a MAC is to operate.
Mac is more beautifull yes but everyone who is saying they are faster are wrong. The operating system contributes to near nothing of the speed, the speed comes from the hardware and the majority of mac os's come with 1.5-2GHz whereas now windows is coming with 2.0+ on just the laptops! Also apple is much more overpriced, I garuntee if Apple stopped sponging money of us, their products would cost less than 60% their value now. I have to say the iPod/Phone is great but the Mac is definantly weaker.
PC is the original brand that mastered the computer industry. I PC computer is much cheaper than a Mac. Apple should forget about their computer and only focus on their iPods and iPads.
As a Systems Administrator who handles Mac, Windows, Linux, VMware, and various other servers, and mac/windows/linux clients for each...
I favor PC over Mac, generally speaking. They're different categories. When a general or multi-purpose system is needed, PC excels over Mac significantly. I see Apple devices in general as appliances rather than computers- quite good at their intended role, but lacking beyond that. PCs, on the other hand, can be made to perform any role, but may not perform it as well as an Apple product designed specifically for that role.
I tend to favor versatility, to be fair. Apple's proprietary nature across all of their products cripples them in that regard.
I'd love to vote for Linux, as it has the potential to be everything PC is given time and adoption, but at current it has de facto limits much like Apple's, even if being proprietary generally isn't an issue.
I would have to say PC because PCs are far more customize-able and far more powerful than macs, plus there are many different varieties of PCs that are made to suit your individual needs and macs are all the same, they just come in different sizes.
I prefer PC. It is much more convenient and you can always change the configuration or repair it. For example if you have problems with the video card, they are quite common. But I think the solution to this problem is not always to replace it. Examples you can look at this website. This is the site of a great company that is dedicated to consulting and solving any problems with electronic gadgets, such as PCs, Macs, iPhones, smartphones, and more. Just go to this site and read 'bout it on your own.
PC, all the way. Macs are just way too overpriced. The price/performance ratio is off so it's like people are only paying for the OS, which is definitely not worth $1000~ (iMacs).
On a PC, there's upgradability. People don't have to buy the latest MacBook/iMac model just to get better specifications, instead, they could simply open up their PC's side panel, work a bit with a screwdriver (depending on the part) and you're done. You're not replacing your current PC to get a one with better specs.
PCs are more customizable. Are you sick and tired of that 1920x1080 AIO monitor? Well, with a PC, you could just buy a new one and do stuff on a 1440p panel. Oh, you don't like the performance that i5? PCs can have their processors replaced! You're Mac can't game (that's another point)? On a Windows/Linux machine, just replace/add a better video card. The possibilities are endless.
