Happiness is fleeting. We cannot be happy all the time. We can however, always seek truthfulness.

If it is more important that you know the truth of things, and speak the truth about things, then the happiness you do have will be more meaningful, though no less fleeting.

Truth and happiness are not necessarily at odds with each other. But if I had to choose I would choose truth because it isn't as fickle as someones mood.

The truth will set you free, but it's hard to concede to the truth....

Until you admit you are not worthy of life and are worthy only of the death you deserve the same as me and everybody else who can read these words, you are in denial and the truth remains on the other side of that mental block wall in your mind. The truth is that you are self-deluded, having convinced yourself that you have the right to exist outside of Hell and are living when in reality you are dying and have no right to live.

This is a starting point of truth, not the best phrased, but the truth will set you free if you believe it....this is a starting point which you probably cannot stomach so it won't do any good to tell you how you can be set free.

Are you straight up denying that people don't deserve to live?

Side: Truth

I choose truth. Hell this is how slavery was accepted. People chose to be happy and lazy with other people doing work for them instead of seeing the truth that what they were doing was wrong. Choosing happiness over truth leads to blind ignorance which never ends well. We chose not to be happy within our nation and ignore Nazi Germany in WW2 and instead see the truth of what was happening and see that something needed to be done about it, sacrificing many American lives in the process. When you find a truth to be uninviting you are forced to accept it or do something to change it. Accepting and confronting truth will give you pride and pride, in return, will bring you happiness. Now if you are interpereting this as truth of the unknown such as creation and religion then that is up to the individual, but I would also choose truth.

The millennials and this generation, if they are His, are for the most part going to be saved out of the great tribulation. Because the density of darkness is thick.

Jesus said pray your flight not be in "Winter." Thats when seed sown and harvest is out of season! Summer has past, we are in fall, seeds sown in fall - produce harvest, scarcely growing. Saved through fire.

The millennials are the woe to us who nurse babes in those days. This generation is depravity defended and in boasting.

They war against God openly!

Their minds are so dark, it's almost impossible for them to hear or see, some yes, but not many.

So I pack them a hearty spiritual lunch to eat during the great tribulation. So if they survive, they can eat and be saved!

Truth isn't subjective, that would be chaos!

Believing truth is subjective, is actually subjective. But truth is not subjective!

Truth stands alone, as truth. It is constant, unchanging, not mutable, nor adaptive. God is Truth, and is a constant.

Even if you divide truth down to the final division of a subparticle. It becomes a property known as non-locality. Because it is what it is, and it is everywhere at once when divided to its most basic element.

Fyi, God is proven in science. And the old ancient guys knew advanced science by knowing God!

People obsessed with truth would find very little to be happy about in life, from the realities of what politics, religion, food industry are. Even about their own families, etc. When you're honest with yourself about who loves who or doesn't, who is dumb or a jerk, how your meat got on your plate, how laws get made, etc.

We all give a pretty substantial benefit of doubt to the many controversies in life because if we didn't we'd be nothing but unhappy.

Note to the religious - if your plan is to counter with there is truth and happiness in God you probably don't want to make that argument.

The question wasn't "which should we obsess over". If it was I may counter with an argument for the ultimate unhappiness of people who are obsessed with it.

Rather the question is "which is more important". Answering that happiness is more important than truth implies that one would forego truth to obtain or maintain happiness. You would lie to get what you want. This behavior be one of the main causes of unhappiness in the world.

18 “Come now, and let us reason together,”

Says the Lord,

“Though your sins are as scarlet,

They will be as white as snow;

Though they are red like crimson,

They will be like wool.

19 “If you consent and obey,

You will eat the best of the land;

20 “But if you refuse and rebel,

You will be devoured by the sword.”

Truly, the mouth of the Lord has spoken.

Rabbinical Tradition

The ancient Hebrew sages believed, of course, that God created the heavens and the earth. However, some of them believed that the Word of God was the very template with which He did it.

This strikes some of us as simply a colorful exaggeration that goes beyond any direct evidence.

There are hints here and there. There are two well-known references to the creation in the Scripture:

Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1. Let’s look “underneath” the text of each of these.

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

In Hebrew:

Genesis 1:1 in Hebrew

If you examine the numerical values of each of the Hebrew letters, and the numerical value of the words (see chart), and apply them to this formula:

The number of letters x the product of the letters

÷

The number of words x the product of the words

You get 3.1416 x 1017. The value of π to four decimal places!

.....Hmm.

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

In Greek:

John 1: 1 in Greek

This time if you take the numerical value of each of the Greek letters (see chart), and the numerical value of the words, and apply them to the same formula:

The number of letters x the product of the letters

÷

The number of words x the product of the words

You now get 2.7183 x 1040, the value of e. Curious!

.

Significance?

Each of these is another of those puzzling ostensible “coincidences” that are too astonishing to dismiss, and yet present challenges in suggesting any real significance.

3 And taken together, they do evoke some conjectures.

There are, however, at least two problems: why just four decimal places (they both deviate from the fifth place onwards) and what do you do with all the “extra zeroes”?

Matt 11

25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants.

26 Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight.

27 All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Jesus calls chasing after the world a yoke. He compares His yoke, and says it is easy and restful. A yoke is a bar guided.

We all wear a yoke, we are all slaves, one yoke leads to adoption as children, the others never are

released from their yoke.

No certificate of freedom.

Your yoke determines if you will remain a slave to a cruel taskmaster or if you will be born again and be renewed daily till you see Him as He fully is, and are changed in a twinkling of an eye.

FYI, twinkling of an eye is a scientific term. It's the aperture of light through the pupil of the eye. It's a fraction of light and time in the lowest divisible form.

The Bible has more science in it then you can imagine!

It's interesting they used a knowledge they couldn't have scientifically defined or knew of.

The field of biology has now discovered it is restricted by the boundary conditions of the information sciences. Its historical love affair with Darwinism is now being shattered by advances in microbiology, highlighted by the disturbing revelations of Michael Denton, Philip Johnson, and Michael Behe, et al., revealing biology's apparent immunity to truth and reason.

But now the field of physics, too, is in turmoil. Quantum physics has resulted in the abandonment of causality, the cornerstone of empirical science. And whether we address the units of length, mass, or time, we discover that they are composed of indivisible units that ultimately cannot be divided without losing their "locality."

The more one knows about particle physics and quantum mechanics, the more provocative these "science fiction" episodes become. Indeed, it was Dr. Albert Einstein that admitted,

People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between the past, present, and the future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.

And as physics goes, so too the entire field of cosmology. I believe it was Paul Davies who observed,

It is as if our entire universe is nothing more than a thought in the Mind of God.

The current genre of virtual reality films, while still retaining many of the moral deficiencies that have come to characterize the products of our entertainment industry, can still be provocative and useful in conceptualizing our present situation: we find ourselves in what can be accurately described as a digital simulation.

And transitions in and out of our space-time - from one "hyperspace" to another - is a potential rationalization of the more disturbing UFO reports and other apparent visits from dimensionalities other than our own.

It is also a way of conceptualizing the strangest transition of all: the harpazo, the "Great Snatch," which Paul alludes to in

1 Thessalonians 4:16 -18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-53.

(A "twinkling of an eye" is not to be confused with a blink; at the speed of light passing through the retina, it is about 10-43 seconds - the very digital boundary of time itself.)

The field of biology has now discovered it is restricted by the boundary conditions of the information sciences. Its historical love affair with Darwinism is now being shattered by advances in microbiology...

First of all, you lifted this entire excerpt from a 16 year-old article by Chuck Missler that tried to pass off the absurd notion that the Universe was a computer simulation, as in the movie The Matrix. Which he even mentioned by name.

Second...advances in microbiolgy only do not "shatter" Darwinian Evolution, they support it. In fact, every single new discovery in Biology and other sciences ALL serve to support Evolution.

Quantum physics has resulted in the abandonment of causality,

Again, wrong. QM only show that "locality" and "causality" cannot sometimes be determined exactly at the Quantum level. So what? We are relatively new to the field of QM and are still learning. But clearly, other QM theories, like particle entanglement DO SHOW that causality is at work.

...highlighted by the disturbing revelations of Michael Denton, Philip Johnson, and Michael Behe, et al., revealing biology's apparent immunity to truth and reason.

Aha! This excerpt alone shows how obsolete this entire article is. Behe and his idea of "irreducible complexity" have been debunked for several years now. We have shown and proved that organisms need not have been created in the present complexity and entirety in order to have been once sufficient. Behe's original example of IC was the bacterial flagellum, and we showed long ago how a primal and crude original adaptation for that apparatus was sufficient as a starting point for its evolution to its present status.

And as physics goes, so too the entire field of cosmology. I believe it was Paul Davies who observed,

It is as if our entire universe is nothing more than a thought in the Mind of God.

Again, you (or rather, Missler, since you lifted this whole thing and obviously don't even understand it) have taken a quote out of context. Davies went on to explain that although the Universe initially gives the appearance of being "fine tuned" for us, that in reality such is not the case. And you need to also know that when people like he and Einstein spoke of a "god" they were NOT referring to your biblical god. Not in the slightest. Einstein has flat-out refuted that sort of god. I can give you the quote if you want. When they speak of "god" they are talking of a purely Deistic and non-personal sort of Universal Paradigm of Order. In other words, something as far away from your murderous Yahweh as is possible.

Your woo about the bible words somehow forming a code for proven mathematics and equations has also been long long debunked. Even way back with that absurd book on The Bible Code, which was proven to be groundless. Anyway, HOW exactly would that code work? When you consider that the original bible was a collection of separate works? And was passed on orally for decades and decades before put to print? And then: it was translated many times! From Hebrew to Greek and to Latin and German and English!

The ancient Hebrew sages believed, of course, that God created the heavens and the earth. However, some of them believed that the Word of God was the very template with which He did it.

Sure they did. And they also believed in unicorns and sky gods who murdered millions and dragons and demons and a flat Earth and that drilling a hole on your head can let demons escape. A modern day 12 year old now knows far more science than did the alleged wisest of sages back during biblical times.

So....the reason I have now thoroughly exposed your post as not only plagiarized but contradictory and wrong is what happens when people like you make the mistake of just pressing keys and pasting things you do not understand. And I doubt you even read all the way through your pasted article. If you did you would know you pasted an article from a guy who said nothing about the existence of your god, and indeed is an atheist. But instead he proposed that, in true Hollywood and pseudo-scientific style, the Universe was just a big computer simulation! And we were the unwitting fodder for the Matrix's creators!

You should have taken the red pill with all that wine instead of the blue one! LOL

I am very fortunate in that my chosen profession and schooling allow my to find happiness in seeking and obtaining the TRUTH. And I am talking about the big truths. The biggest. Like, "Where did we come from" and "How did we get here" and "what is our place in the Universe?"

Science, nature, truth...they all equate to happiness for me. As well as love for my family and wife. And guess what? I don't need to make believe in some adult imaginary sky god friend to get all this. Nor do I need to read a bloody book of Hebrew mythos to get my morals and standards for decent living.

Somebody once asked what the lowest form of living would be. To me it would be either addiction, or being under constant delusion. Like for those who believe in gods or that long dead Jew carpenters are still alive and even love them and listen to their prayers? Wow. they need meds, man.

Truth is Power, just like Knowledge. Power is happiness. Love is happiness.

God is bullshit for the weak.

Believing life emerged out of non-living matter, and consciousness arose from mindless matter, and then developing "sciences" to support those beliefs is not "seeking and obtaining TRUTH", it's begging the question.

"Begging the question" is a form of logical fallacy in which a statement or claim is assumed to be true without evidence other than the statement or claim itself.

All your "scientific evidence" combined as supports of your beliefs amounts to nothing more than cartoon animations, and you are trying to make a career out of begging the question.
