What is the best evidence against the claims of Christianity?

Let's break the spell.

1. There are thousands of similar religions which are now dead.

2. Current bibles differ greatly with the oldest known bible (Codex Sinaiticus).

3. The illogic of the trinity.

4. The contention that god loves us when there is suffering in the world.

5. The contention of human free will in the face of an omniscient, omnipotent god.

I vote for 1, 2 and 3.

4 and 5 can be argued away.

Just because there are thousands of other religions that are now dead does not mean that the true one will be in the future. Are you sure that the other side of the white sheep is also white?

Current Bibles do not differ in understanding. The truth of God and Jesus Christ can be gained from any Bible translation.

The trinity is illogical, and is NOT taught in the BIble. God said he was "one" God; Jesus never claimed to be Almighty God; Jesus has a God after his highest position is gained, according to the Bible (Revelation 3:12; John 20:17), and thus he is not the highest, Almighty God.

Also, men and angels are called "gods" by Jesus, and in Psalms (John 10) Trinity was never taught until after Constantine made the apostasy official.

Do your parents love you, even tho they allow you to suffer for your mistakes? Sure. God will not allow suffering to go on indefinitely, for that was not his purpose from the beginning. The earth will one day be made perfect with peaceful people all worshiping one God living on it.

Human free will is ALLOWED by God, to a point. This is God according the human family dignity to make choices for themselves as long as they are in keeping with his broader purposes for all.

None of those thoughts are contradictory. I would add, tho, that just because something is illogical does not NECESSARILY make it untrue.

I do agree, tho, that the trinity is not taught in the Bible, any translation.

The fact that I have not already been smote is proof enough.

1. most christians say that there is one god and that god is a male, but the original text says the word "god" in a female form half the time, implying that the god from the bible is actually two entities in one.

2. all the holidays are stolen from pagan holidays that existed before christianity, and the only reason christianity made it this far is because they manupilated the countries they were invading by saying that the holidays they already had, now meant something else.

3. christians say that god wants them to be accepting of others, yet when other disagree with their religion, they slaughter them, and when they have no one else to slaughter, they kill eachother (ie: the salem witch trials, where a bunch of innocent people were tortured)

My argument to counter your points:

1. Not all Christians are correct about this. The contemporary Christians can be the village idiots compared to the ones who actually care about what they're saying. Most of us don't believe God is a male...after all, what's the point in even having a gender, since God doesn't need a mate to reproduce?

2. There's not much to contest with this one.

3. Once again, Christians aren't always the examples of good behaviour. The ones that get the most attention are the ones that DO slaughter, primarily because they are (sadly) the majority.

The male gender being used to describe God has nothing to do with whether God is male or female as we know male and females to be. It has to do with translation, and how English does not use a gender for nouns as many languages do.

and if you do believe in god then you believe in a extraterestrial being who can change energy into matter by will alone. this god seems to like sending out mixed signals all the time and then you call this free will. You believe in a book written by men only, about stories that they were told. The idea that there is another place called heaven that you will go to if you are good is stupid as is the idea that you will go to hell if you are bad, this is just another form of control used to keep the masses in their place. if you dont believe me then why do people go to war, support the death penalty, do wrong to others when they supposidly know that this will cause them to go to hell.

In the first place, what really is Christianity? Are they what they claim as the religions who carry with them the name of Christ to where the name Christians was derived? If we will scrutinize the scriptures, even Jesus Christ gave a stern warning that there will be many who will claim his name as it is happening now. Let us take for example the Catholics which is the largest denomination. How can they claim that they are Christians when they do not follow or obey all the doctrines of Jesus. One glaring instance is on the issue of idolatry. They have many pagan practices, so how can they consider themselves to be Christians? The Real & True Christians are those who follow & obey ALL the doctrines of Christ even to the smallest detail. NO doctrines must come from inventions of Men. Now, is there such a religion as CHRISTIANS? There is, & that is the Church of God, which was established by God himself.
