What is the best sex education?

What is the best method for teenagers? Is abstinence possible with the bombardment of sex advertisements and culture? Should safe sex be promoted?

Facts, not fantasy. Abstinence education has been proven in study after study as a waste of time and money. Just this week, however, a newly released study has all the abstinence-only industry all a twitter. Finally, a study came out that shows that abstinence-only education can work under some circumstances if it’s taught properly.

The major problem: What the study describes isn’t abstinence-only sex ed. (see link)

Opps!

If you teach abstinence, people will just keep on have sex but without condoms. STDs will become much, much more prevalent.

Side: safe sex

If the kids aren't taught about some of the dangers of sex and how to use condoms then even if they do have sex they won't know how to protect themselves. It is better to prepare them for anything rather than to just tell them not to have sex.

Side: safe sex

In today's society, sex is increasingly becoming major influence in media specially in music and movies, which exposes them to sex and curiosity is created, so with safe sex education, this is the best approach.

End STD/STIs! Condoms rarely break, so why not? Not having sex means that you may be teased for being a virgin (nuless you are a nun), but that is rare, thankfully.

People have the right to know about contraception, including minors. Minors should be able to know what to do if they are raped. Abstinence only education does not teach about emergency contraception.
