Come on Colbert tells anything with a punchline not really caring about the story.Oreilly does give both sides of normal stories. Some stories are to stupid to even here the "other side" of the debate.

1. Colbert only adds punchlines to current news stories.

2. There is no evidence to believe Colbert doesn't care about his stories.

3. How stupid the other side of the argument is, should be for the audience to decide. Bill constantly yells over the other side of the argument. Colbert acts as if he's for one side of the argument, while pointing out aspects that he truly agrees with.

The Colbert Report is a comedy show, while whether one agrees with bill orielly or not, it's an actual news program.

Yea, those are their labels. But, which one is the better source for news was the question. It's based purely on opinion. I, personally, would rather get all the news that mattered most to me from colbert. I don't care about O'Riellys topics.

Based purely on how much I care about the subjects they bring up, I would say the Colbert Report. 90% of the issues Bill brings up are wastes of my time. If wanted to know how the latest white girl to get kidnapped is doing, I would go down to the basement and ask them.

Not only is Colbert one of the funniest people to ever walk the planet, but he also makes you think on another level. His antics are so off the wall that you end up thinking about the news story that he brings up. O'Reilly is just a bully that pushes people around until they agree with him. Plus I don't trust anyone that is actually a part of the press. See this debate for more on that topic.

Colbert's O'Reilly rant

Somehow Colbert ends up being the more objective of the two.

Proof of how much traditional news has digressed into entertainment, when entertainment contains more news.

Probably because his points of view are so satirical that no rational person would accept them as their own, which forces them to actually think about the issue.

With the Colbert Report, I am informed and entertained, while O'Reilly's show tends to be manipulative and biased, and whenever someone opposes Bill, the guest and Bill just start screaming at each other.

That sums it up.

DO IT LIVE.

Bill O'Reilly is too excitable and extremely biased. Colbert has the best poker face in the Entertainment business, and his take on the daily news is always fresh.
