What is worse, failing or never trying?

I appreciate every response to this and hope this question is to your taste.

It depends on a lot of factors, the most important being which do you care about more. Another factor being the danger involved, or at least for me.

I know that rejection is perceived by the brain the same way physical pain is, according to the article. Rejection is right on par with failing so I imagine the brain takes that the same way.

With this knowledge I must say the physical pain of failing is worse than the simple sadness of not trying.

Supporting Evidence: Rejection is pain (www.independent.co.uk)
Side: Failing.

Depends on the situation. There are a lot of things you should never try and there are a lot of things you should try so that you can get better at whatever it is.

Side: Failing.

Failure is but a stepping stone to success. Never trying is a closed circuit.

Side: Never trying.
