What position should the European descendants take with Native Americans?

I believe that the Europeans should take the position of siding with the Native Americans. The Natives never started anything at all. All they wanted was to be on good terms with everyone so they could just go about their day care free. They stayed unarmed and willing to help everyone out as long as they did the same in return. For example, the Native Americans supplied not only their own people, but everyone they could that came to them in a good way and manner.

The thing is that they did try start things and had no intent of reasoning with the colonist. If the colonist even tried to negotiate with these savages there first intent was to attack them unknowingly and kill innocent man women or children that did not even have anything to do with the situation.

The European colonists and native Americans should be able to live in peace and harmony. We are all people, we all have rights. So why label one race as superior to another? We shouldn't and it is wrong to do so. It is irrelevant to label one group as better than another. No one owns the land, its for everyone to enjoy and live upon not for one to steal from another but to live united and put the difference of race behind them in order to move forward as a strong community. War is never wins, both sides will always lose something, so living in peace is always a better option than mass chaos and violence between peoples.

I, as a Native American, believe that we should live in peace and harmony, not extermination. I know it's' important for us to help Jamestown, but these confrontations shouldn't be occurring. Why should you take force what you can love? Why should you destroy us, who have provided you with food? What are you going to get out of war? We can just take back all of our provisions, and hide in the woods; thus creating a problem you put onto yourself. Your people will consequently starve because you wronged your friends. We are unarmed and willing to trade and interact in a friendly manner. In my truest opinion, I insist that guns and swords, the cause of all our jealousy and uneasiness, be removed and sent away, to create a peaceful relationship among all of us.

So you say you want to love and you want to live in harmony, however, you and your people turned on us. You attacked our homes and killed are families. If peace is what you want then why did strike first. Yes you can take our crops and the provision you have provided to us but we know how to hunt and gather and will not be left to starve. We had no need to fight and only thought to help your civilization grow into a better more stable one.

These Indians are people like us with brothers and sister, mothers and fathers, and sons and daughters. and although they might live different than us, they are still a reasonable people. in the past they had shown signs of peacefulness and unity us Englishmen. They shared their food, their people, and has more or less has accepted us in this land, it is only best if we keep the peace and not rage war on a people we only knew peace from. it is best to keep the peace. there is no need to be greedy in this new land.

natives are people to, they eat, drink, and put there pants on one leg at a time

But are they people? Often back then, the Indians were treated as the women should be, objects that might be used to gain power, and help us real people get somewhere. Maybe it should stay like that, the Indians not being people and all.

The natives never had pants, therefore they are not people. They looked at our clothing and style and decided they were gonna do the same and eventually all of them made their own jean style bottoms out of buffalo, deer, fox, and other small and large game animals. Yes the natives did eat, drink, and all sorts of stuff like us but they stole those ways from the settlers. Nothing they had was their own, they always stole ideas and products that made their comm unties better and more civilized.

1 point

The Democrats who stole the land should go back to Europe while the Republicans who stole nothing stay and live peacably with Natives as they always have.

You seem to think being Republican is genetic.

Strange.

These Indians are savage and brutal. We try to come over here and they do nothing but instigate fights and war. They know nothing of civil discussions or chivalrous activities. I think that the European descendants should have went and slaughtered as many as they could before the savage Indians wreaked havoc upon them.

That is not true the Indians tried tohelp the Europeans and they were nice to the them but the Europeans didnt understand their culture so they just decided to get rid of the indians

There are other ways to settle disputes and war, perhaps there was miscommunications. It isn't right to label one entire race as savages.

1 point

The Europeans should take sides with the Indians because it would be better for the both of them because the indians, for one, were here first. Also it would be beneficial for both of them to show each other things that the other does not know. Since it is obvious that one side knows more about some things while the other side knows more about different things.

As it is known dead weight is exactly such... and to touch on knowledge, what do they know that we can't learn, what do they have we can't make or grow? In short, what they do now we do better, so what use are they if of no use?

In the beginning, when Europeans first came to the Americas and encountered Native Americans it was obvious that the two cultures were very different. Both advanced in their own way but unfortunately, the Europeans did not see them as equals because of the simple fact that they were different. The Europeans were not able to grasp that this new culture was no different than any other civilization in its early times and had the potential to grow and become more advanced over time. They narrowmindedly tried to hold the Native Americans civilization to the standards of their own and based their decision off of that. So when it comes to determining what position should be taken in relation to Native Americans today I say that European descendants should be ashamed for the lack of reasoning and stupidity of their ancestors. The real savages are those who unjustly slaughtered millions of people and lacked the understanding to see that that's all they were, people. And so to end this comment I ask you who was more uncivilized? the Indians who welcomed the new guests to their land or the intruders who thought they were justified in conquering a people who they thought were inferior?

Doggy style ???????????????

The European descendants will conquer the Indians to show that there not scared of them and, for this reason blood must have blood. How could the Europeans know if the Indians were trustworthy? After all the Indians and Europeans were so different, that the Europeans did not feel there will civilized enough to feel comfortable around them. So the Europeans should exterminate them in order to keep their people safe, and reduce any Havoc.

We as Native Americans do not care if you are scared of us or not. All we want is to be civil. Just because we are different doesn't mean we are bad. As long as your people come to us in a calm way just wanting to discuss and work things out we will not start war with you, but if you just start assuming and come at us first without discussion, we will fight back and finish everything. But we DON'T want to have to do that to you and your people. There is no need for that. We can work everything out in such a better and more calm way. We want to help you by giving you food when your crops aren't doing well or supplying you with shelter or animal hides when it's cold. We want no harm, just friends.

1 point

The Native Americans were unreasonable and always started wars with the white man. These brutal savages attacked and killed innocent women and children in Jamestown for no apparent reason. I understand if we were on their land, but there was no use on it and barely was being used and they did not even try to negotiate with the colonist. This is one of the only massacres of many that they did.

As I recall when your people first arrive we brought you gifts of food and welcomed you as a custom in my culture. It was not us you began the aggression and conflict. When you first saw us you looked down upon us with disdain. Immediately you began systematically pushing us from our land, which not all had physical uses but was spiritually important. Though I can't expect you to understand that. After all, we don't even speak the same language.

1 point

When the Europeans came over to the new land they were introduced to a new race of people who were Native Americans. They were uncivilized and did not know how to speak or communicate with the Europeans. Sure they did eventually learn and did become allies but they turned and killed many of the Europeans. The Europeans tried to keep the peace and only wanted to show the natives what a better system they could have had. Instead the Natives revolted and attack the small settler towns full of men, women, and children, brutally killing many. The Europeans in self defense should have mad the Natives extinct.

Of course the natives tried to keep little to no contact with us,we are strange people that came on enormous bouts with wired language and weird ways. Now of coarse the natives fought, but only because a majority of us didn't respect them, or even treat them right, and our way of showing them a better system was to completely destroy their culture, so i would expect anyone to be a little hostile. then we had the nerve to attack them many times, so in the end we ask to be attacked in many of our towns.

That was a real nice declaration, although implying that your people wanted to keep the peace is going to cause some confrontation. You say we're so "uncivilized" and "foreign," while our leader Powhatan discusses and exudes peaceful exercises. We also met John Smith, a European, who recalled peaceful relations with us during the time you needed assistance. Eventually, you understood that we provide you with food because if we didn't you would starve. We are unarmed, yet you still see us as a threat. You are a threat amongst yourselves, with your guns and knives you use them as if we were enemies. I want us to live in harmony together, but it's not our wrongdoing, it's yours. The peace and prosperity we want to implement will only occur when you all will listen as we insist that the guns and swords, the cause of all our jealousy and uneasiness, be removed and sent away

Native Americans... so many words one could use to describe this dwindling race of neanderthalic men but how would they be able to grasp the meaning of our complex and advanced society. We, the new conquerors of these, Americas have wondered this good godly earth and in finding shall bring-up these unknowing heathens, by which they respond to with violence and maleficence. Then we shall and should by the name of our Lord, exterminate this race of rats to better yet make this land great and beautiful.

1 point

I believe the Native Americans should be exterminated because all they did was bring war upon us, the European settlers, they didn't have anything to offer but violence and brutality to our people. They attacked innocent families and murdered massive amounts of people. They stole from us and eventually started picking up on our ways of hunting and war tactics.
