What religion are you in and why did you choose it?

Add New Argument

There are so many religions to chose from. This means that it's best to know who you are and pick a religion that follows your beliefs. My friend Judy couldn't find a religion that closely resembled her beliefs so she started her own religion, Judyism ;) So now I follow joe cavalryism; it's a way of life ;)

Are you your own God?

If so, explain.....................................

Well..., someone has to be so it might as well be me ;)

Oreoism.

The belief that Oreos created everything. Even man. And decided to supply life to everything and if somebody tells you Oreos were created by men they lie.

Oreoism.

Is Oreo God made off tasty chocolate and white sugar cream? Sometimes having the minty green and sometimes having the red sugar cream?

Can I take a bite out of this Oreo God?

Yes. He feeds all of his people because he regenerates instantaneously.

Yeshua is my religion. I do not know whether that makes me Christian or Jewish.

You can become Jewain, or Christew?

Just a thought.....................................

Although I am a Dudeist Priest and like the teachings of Dudeism ie going with the flow etc, I don't follow any religion in particular I'm interested in a lot of Eastern religions like Taoism (on which Dudeism is based) and Buddhism but I also have an interest in Shamanism but I have an interest in all religions and enjoy finding out about other peoples beliefs. I believe in being open minded about religion as the more we understand other peoples beliefs the easier it will be to understand the people and hopefully live together in peace one day.

Dude, that's awesome, Dudeist Priest sounds like "Judast Priest"....kind of Ironic, that's awesome, Dude. Dude.

You can get shirts with Dudeist Priest that looks like the Judas Priest writing which is pretty awesome, I'm thinking of getting a letter of authority so I can abide at wedding ceremonies and stuff which would be pretty awesome. I wonder if I can get any tax breaks due to my priestly status!!

Hah!

What was thing that you were forced to do growing up?

Apparently, people only believe in anything is because they're forced to do so. (sarcasm)

you little idiot, did your parents give you a choice ?

Well you can always convert to Oreoism. It is the best religion.

I'm glad you asked. Well I'm a christian. The reason for that is because almost 95% of the bible was proven true not only that I've seen miracles and things that if I told someone what happened they would never believe me.

If you wish we could legitimately debate about it but chances are, as this article states; you won't listen.

No I do not want to debate about it because there is no way I will get through your thick pathetic skull!

Catholic. I was born into it. My parents weren't very avid Church goers but my grand parents were and they taught me all about god and the Catholic Church and the more I learned the more I wanted to go to Church and learn more.

and soon my parents started taking me and I got more and more involved in my church I helped with good works projects, taught the Children (at both CCD and bible camp) I was an alter boy (no before you ask nothing ever happened to me) but since I moved to Colorado I've had a hard time locating a Catholic Church nearby so I haven't been very active religiously as of late. But I'm still faithful and I'm still a follower of Jesus Christ.

Islam. I was previously a Theravada Buddhist monk. I became a Muslim about 1 - 2 years after a left the temple. The teachings of Islam are almost identical to those of Theravada Buddhism; but much more pragmatic.

Prove him wrong. .

I am a Buddhist (Atheistic) because I can find answers for myself through it, instead of just believing something as if its a concrete thing with no evidence for it. Its teachings make a whole lot of sense to me and I can see evidence for them in my daily life also Meditation has helped me a lot.

Lynaldea(1231) Clarified

Sooo there is "evidence" for Buddhism and Atheism, you say, yet you claim there is no evidence for any other teachings/religion/God......

I am a Christian and it rocks as I know I am going to heaven to meet my beloved Daddy god. I have been blessed and many great things have happened to me because of Jesus. Those who are not Christians should start believing as your life will be changed. Come to church and receive of his goodness

1 point

I am a Christian and the reason why I choose it was because of the evidence that supports Christianity and that when I die I have hope that I will go to heaven.

AbbyNestor(1028) Disputed

When you die you just die. Heaven is just a dream. Or a ton of puffy clouds.

That's not what John said in the book of Revelations where He explained that Heaven had streets of gold and people with the new heavenly bodies. He also was a witness of heaven.

I am a Christian because Jesus died on the cross for my sins. :)

Eclectic wicca, but my religion is just researching other religions, really. I follow some teachings from ones I like and use them to develop my hypothesis.

So do you admit and agree that there are good qualities in particular religions?

Why do you enjoy researching them?

I enjoy researching anything with a bit of mystery to it. And everything has 'good' qualities to it.

Has anyone else who's posted on this debate had an enemy declaration from Shemael, just wondering no drama, I've just got a theory

I was Reform Jewish by birth. However, i converted to Secular Judaism (believe in Jewish values, don't believe in god) by choice and through re-evaluation.

Most people don't choose their religion.. They are born with the religion

-1 points

I do not follow any religion but you could say that, unlike a typical atheist, I am in fact religiously unreligious.

I chose this because by being so violently against any religion I have found the true way of living life as advocated by master Satan himself.
