What should be the purpose of taxes
Should a tax system be aimed primarily at effective revenue collection or at suppressing the financial heights of the wealthiest?
Imagine a scenario where 5% flat tax on income over $30,000 is more than enough to meet revenue needs, would the rich still need to pay more?

The purpose of city, county, state and federal tax revenue should be to use it exclusively in providing services to the public as a whole. These services should NOT include ANY social programs, or support for a segment of the whole population, with the exception of people who are certifiably disabled. IMO governments who undertake the administration of social welfare programs have demonstrated no ability to manage the necessary accountability. Side: Revenue only
