What's the best religion?

I will be the first to say that no religion is the best religion. To clarify, I mean that the lack of religion is superior to all religions not that all religions are equally good. Now, the lack of religion (aka agnosticism) is different from asserting that there is no God (atheism), which is just as difficult to prove as proving God's existence. I believe that since agnosticism makes the least amount of assumptions it is the most rational position. The benefits of agnosticism include not doing stupid stuff for no reason (I'm looking at you Kim Davis), not coming off too condescending to normal religious folks (but still enraging the crazies), and being able to change your opinions based on facts (not based on the church's current interpretation of the Bible). The concept of god is supported by neither evidence nor rationale. Additionally, we understand its evolutionary origins and genetic basis. With regards to almost any other concept this would be more than adequate basis from which to reject the idea; this is why most people are not agnostic about unicorns, quidditch, or Santa. Absolute certainty is neither possible nor necessary for adopting a view; preponderance of evidence and rationale must, and generally does, suffice. I suggest that the only reason the idea of god is treated differently is because it so commonly held and sanctified, despite there being no reason to treat it to a higher standard of discredit and lower standard of proof than most (if not all) other ideas. I object to your implication that atheism is too condescending. Every ideology is afflicted with insufferable egoists, and I assure you that I have met agnostics who were just as insensitive and vain as some atheists can be. Nor is attitude ultimately a testament to the validity or superiority of a view anyways. 1

I am a Christian and I think that Christianity is the best as our God is a all-loving God. He is always with you and He will never forsake you. Who would die on a cross for you? Jesus loves us so much that He was willing to die on that cross for you and me. If He hadn't dies on that cross for us, we would have to and Him seeing us going through that much pain was too much for Him to bear so he came in our place. Thank God for Jesus! 2

Jesus was executed by the then common means of execution. He was sentenced by a human legal system for being a threatening political dissident (that is what the letters INRA represent), and opportunistic persons striving to bolster their fledgling faith capitalized on his death by inventing a story that it was God's will. At most, Jesus was a socio-political martyr who died trying to improve the lives of the people proximate to and affected by his socio-political views at the time. Your "all-loving" God also permits extreme suffering, pain, genocide, and other atrocities... and Himself flooded the entire world killing literally everything in it except for a handful of people and two types of each animal. I fail to see the benevolence. 1

Inside my house, My Universal, basic guide lines I fallow To cause less Stress: My morals. Believe in yourself, so others can. Know Thy Self. Love yourself, before sharing your love. Give calm, confident, & respectful energy, to receive trust & ultimately respect. EVERY decision that has an action, causes an effect. Be ready, before taking action. Emotionally, physically, & Especially public abuse, is unacceptable. Treat others, the way others should treat you. Always Be Honest, especially to yourselves. Keep your distance from those, who's LOVE is not, unconditional. Avoid the “Guilty by Association” circumstances, by accepting trustworthy companionships & partnerships. Avoid the root issues, & scenarios, that cause the problems in life, when at all possible. Strive to always see positive lessons in all situations. We should know, a little Something about almost EVERYTHING, & almost EVERYTHING about Something. Self sufficient. Find a purpose. Have a fun, & open mind when learning & experiencing life's journey. Knowledge, is universal currency. Self accomplishment is the GREATEST Acknowledgment, you will ever get. Love Is only unconditional. The only love is, the love of life. Love Is love, it has no levels. We can't love something unless, it has to do nothing for us. We can't love something, if we can hate it. (Material things - we "love" them, UNTIL it doesn't do, what it originally did. That's not love, that's lust.) Love Is unconditional, but a partnership isn't. Trust & affection go hand in hand with love, but aren't part of it. Basic needs in life vs. Wants in life... Needs: air, water, food, plus shelter, & wisdom. Wants are: assuming things outside ourselves, will go our way, on our terms. Yet, all that doesn't come from within ourselves, but comes from outside ourselves, we have no control over it, therefore it can't always go our way, & leads to negative thinking. If it does, bonus. A Partnership: others in your life. The Cause, or Reason for 1- A Clearly Defined, common goal is shared between a grouping of beings. (Coworkers/ get work done, friends/ communicate & share experiences, family/...) Must Haves- each needs: (to succeed) 1. Personal self confidence & self reliance. 2. Visualization of The completion of the goal. Positive attitude. 3. Mutual, dedication & determination must be applied. 4. TOTAL TRUST & HONESTY- unconditional love: integrity towards each other. (W/O full disclosure, it will eventually fail) 5.Patiences of each others pace: No 2 people learn exactly alike. (Throw away the watches & clocks :)) 6.COMMUNICATION- (one word answers are reactions, not a responses "hru? Good"- no information was exchanged. Why is it good, & not great?) 7. OPEN MINDEDNESS-, discover different, new, healthy paths, to finding multiple solutions to the goal, that build confidence, & certainty of completion. With understanding these 7 things, has the EFFECT of- Gaining TRUE, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, & RESPECT. Other's actions or words, make us think, & Usually it's a groomed assumption, or stereotypes, taught to us. That thought -/+, is the only thing that can be changed. That -/+ thought evokes an emotional response equally positive or negative to our thought. That emotional response, comes out in actions or words, that makes others think & feel... repeat. Emotions are reactions to a thought, a thought is a reaction to an action, & action is a reaction of our emotions... change one, we change all 3. Example: my actions are words, how you interpret my words, is how you "think" or relate to them. Depending on, if you relate them to a positive or negative thought, results in a positive or negative emotion, the emotional response will, create a positive or negative action or words. 1

Satanists generally have an independent philosophy that goes deeper than siding with the devil. Besides, Satan is a reference to Christian faith; an Islamic equivalent would probably be some derivative of Iblīs, Shayṭān, or Shaitan. Either way, I fail to see why it this would be the "best" religion. 1

Religious organizations that divorce themselves from the disastrous concept of religious authority are the most acceptable. Different religions exist for different types of people, and religious traditions contain universal truths on which all religious experience is grown. "Four blind men went to see an elephant. One who touched its leg said, 'The elephant is like a pillar.' The second who touched the trunk said, 'The elephant is like a thick club.' The third touched the belly, and thought it to be like a big jar. The fourth who felt the ears, concluded that the elephant was like a winnowing fan. They then began to dispute amongst themselves as to the nature of the animal they had touched. A passer-by hearing them quarrel, said, 'What is it this you are disputing about?' Then they stated the question and asked him to arbitrate. He said, 'Not one of you knows the real elephant. As a whole, it is neither like a pillar, nor a jar, nor a winnowing fan, nor a club. But its legs are like pillars, its belly like a big jar, its ears like a winnowing fan, and its trunk like a thick club. The elephant itself is a combination of all these.' In exactly the same manner do men quarrel among themselves about religion, each having seen some different aspect of the Deity." -The Gospel of Ramakrishna, authorized edition, p. 28-29. 1
