I don't spend enough time breaking up to come up with playlists for it.

I meant to add my song a while ago, but every time I remembered was in bed falling asleep. Finally, I remember while I'm awake.

Okay. The perfect break-up song (I listen to is when I'm broken up, single, in a relationship, whenever. I love this song) is "You Could Be Happy" by Snow Patrol. I'll connect a video below so you can listen! :)

"Well, you've turned into something I can't even look at;

It's hard to believe that once you were mine.

You're selfish and you're spoiled; you're pretentious as hell;

I don't like your new friends and I hate your stupid haircut."

I went through one particular hard break up. She was accusing me of being too violent. What was that song by Chicago?

If you leave me now, I think I'm gonna have to hunt you down

No baby please don't go

If you leave me now, I think I'm gonna have to shoot you dead

No baby please don't go

wait... that can't be the right lyrics ;)

Best breakup song ever: Dylan's positively 4th street:

"you got a lot of nerve / to say you are my friend / when I was down, you just stood there grinnin' "

Side: Positively 4th street

That was Dylan's best song, I think and a favorite of mine along with I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor.

"I hate everything about you" - Ugly Kid Joe.

not three days grace

I cannot express that enough. The Ugly Kid Joe version is the only way to go.

Dreaming with a broken heart by John Mayer, is a good one.

But my point is this: I broke up with a guy about the same time the Fergie's album dropped, and listened to it over and over for about a month. A few songs really hit home... Problem being that the bitch put out like 10 singles from that CD. And every time I hear one of those songs I go back to that pain.

Why ruin a good song with a bad break up?

For the most part I want to listen to music that makes me feel good. Like Paul Simon, The Beatles and Brett Dennen. Those boys always know how to lift my heart.

I used to do this, but it varied depending on the guy.

I think the last one I had was in high school, and I believe Galapagos by SP was there, I Will Survive by Cake, and Yesterday by The Beatles.

It stands out because I was listening to it when my newly-made ex called, and he asked if I made it as a break-up list. I lied.

Now, if I need cheering up, I usually listen to something classical, gospel, or Christmas music.
