What would it be like if everyone had the same Intelligence?

Can we have a working definition of intelligence? And further, can we expand upon it by asking if this is equivalent overall intelligence with individuals differing in capability for different aspects of intelligence? Is creativity considered part of intelligence or separate? Is it distributed equally, or are some more creative, and others making up for it in other areas? Is the level of intelligence in question average by modern standards, above average, below average, genius, handicapped? 1

When one is on a debate web-site; Wouldn't you define intelligence as having the capacity to post an argument? Right. Because we can assess what life would be like if everybody had the same capacity to post an argument, with no information regarding anything else whatsoever. Not only is that exactly how we define intelligence on this site, it's also all that we need to know to answer this question. If everyone had the same intelligence, that would be an equal amount of the same sort of intelligence. IMO things would be almost the same as they are now. There would still be difference of opinion, difference of perspective, and difference of outlook. The big difference would be a much greater difficulty in winning an argument. |
