Racists who DENY they're racists have NO idea what racism is.

Maybe. Consider two things:

- 1 - It could be the case that they actually know what racism is, but have the social awareness to know it would reflect badly on them were people to know, so they lie about it.

- 2 - Definitions matter. Different people define racism differently, often related to whether they are on the left or the right. By the definition I grew up learning,racism means categorizing people by race (not culture), AND making assumptions about them due to race, or treating people differently based on race, or advocating that people be treated differently based race.

- - a - This definition necessitates the conclusion that Affirmative Action is racist, and that people who are in favor of Affirmative Action and similar programs are racist people. However, many who want Affirmative Action insist they are not racist, and often insist that opponents are racist.

- - b - This definition also means that non-black people (who do not divide people by race or treat them differently or advocate different treatment based on race) who dress up in blackface, or non-Japanese people who wear geisha costumes are not racists, but many people insist these people are racist.
