This I can agree with. In Canada we have access to guns, but unlike the U.S., we keep them out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them. I could have a shotgun or a rifle within the next few weeks if I desired to but most people here have no desire to own a gun unless it's for hunting purposes. Another thing to note is that Canada has very restrictive regulations in regards to people killing weapons and most people who own a gun aren't allowed to own a combat rifle or a handgun. I don't think anyone outside the U.S. really understands why Americans are so infatuated with objects designed solely to end life. It seems sort of psychopathic in one way or another. 1
