When did Indiana become Chicago's gun problem ?

The purchasing of firearms is granted to those over the age of eighteen. The only exception instituted is if a minor with the proper consent by a parent or guardian wishes to purchase a firearm. It is illegal under Indian law to allow for the selling or purchasing of a firearm to a convicted felon, or an individual that is deemed to be addicted to drugs or alcohol. Those that are not mentally proficient to handle a firearm are also prohibited from purchasing firearms.

Chicago felons are allowed to purchase weapons in Indiana ? State law says that is not legal. How does this take place in a Blue State ?

It became an issue when Illinois enforced strict guns laws, while at the same time their neighbors didn't. It's not so much that it became a new problem, it's just where the problem cause moved to.

Agreed! We need standard FEDERAL regulations that preserve the Second Amendment while doing our best to keep guns away from those who should NEVER have access to one!

That's the problem with state by state regulations on ANYTHING that is a national problem!

This I can agree with. In Canada we have access to guns, but unlike the U.S., we keep them out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them. I could have a shotgun or a rifle within the next few weeks if I desired to but most people here have no desire to own a gun unless it's for hunting purposes. Another thing to note is that Canada has very restrictive regulations in regards to people killing weapons and most people who own a gun aren't allowed to own a combat rifle or a handgun.

I don't think anyone outside the U.S. really understands why Americans are so infatuated with objects designed solely to end life. It seems sort of psychopathic in one way or another.

FEDERAL regulations aren't going to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. Democrats just don't understand that !

Has to be someone else to blame for Chicago's gun crime because gangs are not the problem are they ?

There has do be that" Gun Show Loop Hole" that is in place in Indiana.

indeed

- About 60 percent of guns used to commit crimes in Chicago were first purchased outside of Illinois.

- The largest out of state sources for illegal guns in Chicago were Indiana, Mississippi, and Wisconsin - none of these states have laws that require background checks for purchasers who buy firearms at gun shows or on the Internet.

60 Percent of the gun crimes committed in Chicago are the faults of other states ? You are a dummy yeah ! 600 Gang factions are in Chicago with 70,000 members as of 2010. Now tell me those gangs aren't running dope and guns. You are stupid not to believe that !

So you believe that if you shut down gun shows and Internet sales then there will be no gun violence in Chicago ? Explain your position !
