Well it would be the good arguments and this is because when you are debating you want to prove your point and get people on your side. The way for you to be able to do this is only if you have a good argument then you can win people to your side. So if someone makes a good enough argument then i would turn to their side. I don't think the arguments necessarily have to be "good" to convince a person. I believe the most important thing in convincing anyone is to cater to their perspective. As long as the argument addresses the specific perspective of the individual, it will be more convincing. Side: Good arguments for other side

For me, it's arguments on my side that win out by a narrow margin. Perhaps it's a character flaw, but a desire to not be associated with certain others who share my overall opinion (if not my reasoning) makes me rethink my stance a bit more frequently than a well reasoned argument for the other side. Rethinking my stance does not necessarily mean I change stances, mind you. Side: Poor arguments for my side

Others [Good arguments for other side?] definitely have their influence in stimulating me to rethink my positions. Usually by asking a question I haven't got a good answer [Poor arguments for my side] for. I don't honestly know which "side" should be given more credit Side: Poor arguments for my side
I've found that more often than not people will blindly argue their side, and will have a retort for everything you use to support your side, but what really gets them thinking is not supporting your side, but pointing out the flaws in their side. Side: Poor arguments for my side
