Which news station is more biased, Fox or MSNBC?
I can't stand watching either due to the crap they spew. I think they should both be forced to change their titles from news station to propagandist network.
Eh, they both kinda suck and anyone who doesn't watch either purely for entertainment value, but instead forms their opinions off of what they are seeing is living in a bubble.
The only reason I would choose this side of the debate is that there are more people who take Fox as a serious news source, and MSNBC doesn't accuse "real" news networks of being biased... they only accuse Fox (a.k.a. using the term liberal media to accuse everyone but themselves of bias).
Also there's the fact that there was an actual memo from inside Fox news that instructed their "reporters" on how to slant the news.
Oh and then there's this great video that kinda shows my point:
Fox News - The more you watch the less informed you become
i suggest everyone watch "Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism"
it has nothing to do with being conservative or liberal, it has to do with a mega-corp owning massive media networks in an area, and its affect on journalism.
Morning Joe, for example, he's was a Republican Representative, and has his own show on MSNBC.
Tucker Carlson I think anyone would consider a far right Conservative, and he used to have his own show.
Chris Matthews is a liberal I think, but often seems to take moderate conservative positions.
You cannot get much further right than Pat Buchanon, and he's a regular contributor to all but the Olbermann show.
I would say on a world scale (not a U.S. scale because were far to the right as a nation) MSNBC would be considered moderate liberal, with only Countdown and the Racheal Madow Show falling solidly on the liberal side.
Faux on the other hand, every show is either Conservative or Neo-Conservative.
Tucker Carlson is a libertarian and left MSNBC to go to Fox News.
Chris Matthews constantly begged to suck Obama's cock. It was really quite pathetic. I like Keith Olbermann cause he's at least funny, but Matthews is a dick fag all around.
Pat Buchanon is really the only real Conservative on that shit. He's the token Conservative, really.
o, and OMG LOL YOU SAID FAUX INSTEAD OF FOX BECAUSE YOU PART OF THAT BAND WAGGON, RIGHT?
Fox News:
Alan Colmes
Bill Shulz
Dr. Lamont Hill
Kirsten Powers
Remi Spencer
Elis Hennican
Jane Hall
etc.
some of the largest contributors on Fox and are all major liberals (well, Spencer is left leaning).
Then they have Geraldo Rivera, a left-leaning Libertarian.
Al Sharpton is a regular there, but he's not part of the channel, I think.
did I say faux? I don't remember, sometimes I call them "false" news. And yeah, I'm part of that bandwagon, see soccer's video if you want to see why.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure Matthews isn't gay, though I have no way of knowing for sure. Maddow is a Lesbian though I'm 99% sure because she's talked about her "partner" a couple times who is a woman.
Either way, I don't feel it effects either one's ability to host a show.
I have watched both. fox news? what news? its a republican spin machine, and for msnbc thats the Democratic spin machine. Now i have sat down and checked, facts with BS, on both and i have to admit fox is way out there and msnbc semi out there, But like it was said "DIVIDED WE FALL" and thats what they want. Both sides are not worth 2 cents.
I watch both. I love Fox News and watch MSNBC mainly for shits and giggles. They do say some funny shit sometimes.
The difference is that Fox News has both opinions, but they don't allow things like tea bagging jokes to go on for 2 minutes or the claim that anyone who disagrees with Obama is a racist to be said. MSNBC does.
We can argue all we want about Fox News and whether it's biased or not, but MSNBC takes it to a whole other level.
I watch FOX because MSNBC does not report what I what I am interested in, I only really watch Red Eye on FOX because it is funny. FOX is fair it just seems biased because the other stations are so biased FOX seems conservative.
Haha, really? So it's just that everyone else is biased and fox is the only one being honest? You really need to leave that bubble your living in. I'll happily admit that MSNBC is biased, but most other networks are very fair when it comes to reporting.
Fox on the other hand attacks these networks, calling them "the liberal media" and gullible viewers like you buy that crap.
Just because a station agrees with your views doesn't make it fair and balanced. Just look at how they treat different guests on Fox. Usually they'll invite someone on who disagrees with them just so they can yell at them and shut off their mic.
Fox even makes up stories to make democrats look bad (see O'Reily's report about when Obama quoted Churchill). But hey, maybe reality has a liberal bias...Fox has to lie to even things out.
Really? What about when CBS ran with the story that said Bush was AWOL while in the National Guard that was wrong yet they ran with it. Are saying that CNN was fair to Sarah Palin. ABC ran the specia to promote Obama's healthcare plan. If FOX is so bad why does it have higher ratings than all the other networks?
Ratings do not indicate whether or not its bias or accurate. simply that there are many people, like yourself, who do not want true news, they want stories that rally their political base.
The idea of "fair and balanced" needs to be considered here. It is not, and never has been, a true journalist's job to be "fair."
reporting is simply relaying the facts. if those facts paint you in a negative light, then so be it. it isn't the journalists job to then go, dig up positive facts and report them too.
The news was not supportive of Palin, they ran stories about her that were true, and more or less damaged her political ambitions at the time. i get very tired of the conservative "news" fans crying that everyone is bias but them. that argument has never held any water. its a schoolyard argument.. 'its not me, its everyone else!" sure...
sorry palin had so many issues, but its not the fault of the reporters for reporting them.
The news ran stories that were damaging to Palin while it ran stories that were in support of Obama. Most of stories were blown up to make Palin look bad. Many of the stories were not even true. The news did relay the facts but put a liberal spin on it.
In the war of witches vs. religious people against witches, the religious people have many more confirmed kills (many of whom weren't even real witches).
If I were to choose a side I would choose the witches...they seem less violent.
how are you so sure that the hanged witches in the Salem Witch Trials weren't actually witches?
Well, I know a guy who knows a guy whose cousin is satin's secretary, and he said that there really were witches in Salem, but that the thousands of "witches" killed in Europe were mostly just people trying to get even with their neighbors (as soon as rich people started getting accused all of a sudden the executions stopped. Funny how that worked out, huh? I guess God does love rich people).
I actually haven't seen Hocus Pocus, but the witches and wizards in Harry Potter seem benign for the most part (with some obvious exceptions).
Look up the facts and you will see he was AWOL as per his commander not one day overseas or in combat during war time yet most of his unit did, Chaney had 5 deferments not to go to war and so did rush limp back. Sarah palin was a joke, she needs to stay in Alaska, the me th lab capitol. go look for the truth and you will find it. fox Higher ratings loll.
First: Even MSNBC has attacked Obama. This issue is, that they attacked him for being too conservative. The thing is, Obama hasn't really done anything that he can be legitimately attacked for. The majority of the fox attacks are misrepresentations of the truth.
In addition, it is not a news stations job to attack anyone, it's to report the facts. The only station that ever really attacks groups is fox (and of course MSNBC to a lesser extent, but I already said that I don't like them).
Second: Did you know that when you read, or hear something that agrees with your views it makes you fell good? This has been proven in tests. The reason so many people watch fox is because it is the only source of news that fits with the conservative view of the world. The other stations are honest, and it upsets people when reality contradicts their beliefs.
