I can only speak from personal experience but I think women change a lot. Not all change for the better, though I did. I went through a lot of personal growth as a mother, a wife and a woman. In my case, I outgrew my husband. I figured out who I am and became more confident as a result. My husband, on the other hand, did not dedicate as much time to his family. Not because he didn't have the time, he had plenty of time but he spent his sleeping....a LOT! He didn't attend birthday parties nor many other family functions. He didn't help during personal crises. I worked and paid the bills, raised the kids, cleaned the house and cooked the meals. I also did the yard work. His needs/desires came before mine and our children's. When you spend all your time fulfilling your own needs/desires and ignoring the needs/desires of those you "love", your personal growth is stunted. I love him, he is the father of my children. But after 18 years of that, I do not feel we are on the same page anymore. Side: women
