This is what get's me annoyed on this site, atheists following the assumption that God and Science are equals battling it out to see who wins and since you cannot see God-Scieince wins. Which is a completly ridiculous interpretation. Religion is not a science and science is not a religion, one cannot replace the other. 287 days ago | Side: god
Religion is not a science and science is not a religion, one cannot replace the other. So long as religion claims to have truths about the real physical world and it's history i.e. that it was designed by a divine creator, or it is 10,000 years old, or there was once a great flood and two of each animal survived on an Ark manned by a 600 year old Noah - then the two are in conflict and one can replace the other. If religion limits it's scope to morality and how society ought to be governed, while its claims should rightly be disputed, it is not science with which it contends. 287 days ago | Side: science

Religionists love to claim 'proof' of God. The only way you can 'prove' something is through the scientific method. And even then almost nothing is ever absolutely proven. However when science lends weight to the idea that a particular religious claim is false, the religionists fall back on the Non-overlapping magisteria - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ You cannot have it both ways. Either you completely reject science when it seems to prove OR disprove religious claims or you accept findings whether they support 'god' or not. 287 days ago | Side: science

Neither as far as I am concerned. But hypothetically, if both certainly exist, a god would probably be "almighty". I'd be weary of omnipotence, but concede to a great deal of influence; much stronger than the methodology for determining natural laws. 287 days ago | Side: god
The only reason that people say "science" is because they don't believe in God. Science. Is. Not. Almighty. Science can't draw, have a conversation with me or make me a sandwich. You can do those things scientifically, but SCIENCE isn't the one doing them. If there is a God, and I believe that there is, then he is almighty. Or at least, there's a greater chance of God being almighty. 282 days ago | Side: god

Well, Neither. I mean obviously science has an advantage; it is non fictional! But God is not all powerful, because he does not exist, and if he did, and he was all powerful, then there would not be as much suffering in the world. The thing that makes us more dominant than the other animals is our intellect, and from that we made science, and with out it, we would all be living in caves with out the knowledge of fire! 287 days ago | Side: science
Animals have Logic. To me, there are only two types of intelligence. Basic animal > If a tree is falling, move out of the way, hot things are bad, if there is a cliff don't walk of it. E.t.c. And Human Intelligence. I.e. If the stock falls, but ""% on no.3. And, 3x3 is 9, and, To drive a car, you must clutch first, and if you mix these two chemicals together, you get this product. E.t.c. We have vast amounts of 'Human Intelligence' and we have molded that in to our scientific research. Without it, we would be no different to shaven apes! 287 days ago | Side: god
If a tree is falling, move out of the way, hot things are bad, if there is a cliff don't walk of it. Yeah. You forget one and they fall like dominoes. I had a cup of coffee in my hands and, as usual, I forgot it was hot. To make it even worse, I didn't recall at all that I quit drinking that stuff years ago! That hurt quite a bit and put me off balance, didn't even notice the edge behind me. Right down next to a falling tree. I have no idea how I got up there in the first place, last thing I remember was having plans to go to a party... That was years ago, woke up wearing whitish-blue several months back. I guess this goes under human intelligence. 287 days ago | Side: science
