The pope is the head of god's church as Jesus himself started the papacy as stated in Matthew 16:13-19

It has just occurred to me that we may actually both be correct. Now hear me out on this. The office of the pope was created by Jesus Christ him self in Matthew 16:13-19 to protect the church from being corrupted after jusus's death. So really the pope is a REPRESENTATIVE of Jesus on earth. In order to be the pope the collage of cardinals must chose you from amongst the ranks of cardinals which are very old and wise priests. And as pope you must make the decisions you feel Jesus would make so literally the pope is in charge but spiritually Jesus is in charge. We are both correct you see? Wow funny isn't it

Uh, no. The Pope has no authority whatsoever. That is just a man made tradition. Do try again. Rolls eyes.
