Voting on this site is pretty much worthless.

The system is just an example of ad populumn. So many instances of people stating "I agree" get upvotes, not a very good argument now is it?

The system is prone to abuse as well. Certain members have mass accounts and spam votes both ways to try to sway the numbers. Either they put value on ad populumn measures for the validity of their ideas or they just enjoy a bit of trolling.

Admitedly I have down voted people for using fallacious arguments. I have also upvoted arguments that were well constructed. I assume this was the intention of the system however without any type of justification needed to actually cast the vote the system fails.

Due to these issues I put no value in the stats the system tracks. For instance the "efficiency" number can be greatly skewed by the number of controversial subjects one debates.

I wonder if you included the 'me gusta' part to infer it was me :P It isn't me. I used to do it to counteract what the troll was doing.

I thought the whole concept was pretty simple. If you agree with a person and like their argument you vote up and if you disagree with perhaps irreverent or insufficient information you down vote. Why would you abuse that system for entertainment? Do you honestly have nothing better to do?
