The traditional Right supports a large military with bases around the world and operations in dozens upon dozens of countries, including multiple continents.
I support a government that can KEEP America great. a BIG country needs a government that can keep things running smoothly.
For instance, NOW we have few Ambassadors around the world, therefor less influence … cheaper, but a disadvantage.
We have a State Department that only knows what they WANT to know, and THEN don't know what to do when it hurts the country.
We have an understaffed as well as underfunded Veterans dept. that is causing them to go bankrupt and lose homes. Cheaper, but smaller :-(
We have a stripped down EPA/DEM run by an idiot with NO environmental knowledge … again cheaper …. but VERY costly!
We have an Education Secretary with a questionable education and an undermanned, underfunded dept. Cheaper, but ineffective.
How come the Washington Swamp seems to expand and get infested with bigger, more dangerous critters when the government gets smaller?? Smaller government, bigger swamp … and the EPA sees that the critters get FED!

The Left supports a one-nation Federal Government that controls all of the the States, and is also subservient to the UN. Further, they are in favor of Social Democratic policies funded by taxes at the federal level.
There MAY be a group out there that supports those things, but it's not "the left".. I can say that, cause I'm on "the left", and I don't support those things at all..

I'm a liberal who supports the Constitution - ALL of it, en toto, the way it was written.... It IS a liberal document after all..
Let's just take one issue.. I believe in dissent. Period, end of story.. But, when somebody DOES it, the supposed Constitutional loving right wingers HATE it, LIE about it, then LIE about the person doing it, and generally shit all over the Constitution.

Someone who believes in the Constitution, as written as well as the general 'spirit' of it, would be placed much more as a Right-Wing Libertarian than a standard Democrat/establishment Left, who support the program I previously discussed.
Recall, the catalyst to the Revolution was imposed foreign taxes, and being bound to a centralized authority (King George)--both of which Democrats are in favor of. RW Libertarian is on the opposite side of the spectrum.

Like I mentioned before a long time ago there is not just a left and right but also an up and down (authoritarian/libertarian.) The constitution like I said is a classical liberal document, compared to feudalism it is libertarian but in reality it is in the middle on the up/down metric. Both establishment dems and establishment reps in America are usually not as libertarian as classical liberals, nevermind being "libertarians" in general. Also, just for the record libertarian is not a right wing thing. There is actually a wider range of libertarian ideologies and less authoritarian ones on the left because the further left you go the less room there is for one class to rule over others due to the left being synonymous with equality.

I'm sorry.. I don't think believing in the Constitution IS a right wing thing.. Frankly, I think it's more a LEFT wing thing..
As we've discussed, right wingers don't believe in dissent.. They don't believe in the freedom to assemble.. They don't believe in free speech.. They don't believe in a free press. They don't believe in the right to vote.. They don't believe in Due Process. I could go on and on..
Suffice to say, the above are all bedrock Constitutional values that the right wing eschews.
For those reasons, and many many more, I am NOT a right wing conservative.. I'm a liberal.. I've always BEEN a liberal, and I'm quite HAPPY to be a liberal.
