Who will Barack Obama choose as his Vice Presidential running mate?

The Democratic National Convention will take place in Denver, CO August 25-28th. Barack Obama, the presumed Democratic Presidential Candidate has yet to choose a Vice Presidential running mate. Who do you think he'll pick?

Listen, I understand the draw to Biden...he's charismatic, has a lot of FP experience, he's a great orator, the list goes on. But I'm bothered by the fact that nobody in a position to be heard seems concerned about this at all. Hello? Have we forgotten the 'candidate for change'? Worse, has Obama forgotten? You can't campaign on such a message...you cant feel that message resonate and build momentum in such a way as hasn't been seen and felt for years within the Democratic party, nay, the democratic United States of America, and then chose a 30 plus year veteran of Washington as your running mate.

Damn the consequences Obama. You came to inspire us to believe in the possibilities of a greater union. You came to show us that politics as usual doesn't have to be the only way. You came to set a precedent, and to make history.

Or did I misunderstand?

Well, while the idea of change gets liberals excited, it doesn't have the same effect on the rest of the country. They call them conservatives for a reason. Now that Obama is running in the general election, he needs to appeal to moderates and conservatives. I would say that the ideals of hope and change are still there, but practical concessions must be made.

Joe Biden appears to be the front runner at this point. His strong foreign affairs experience as well as his reputation as a protector of civil liberties over his 30-plus year career in Senate will help mitigate some of the skepticism surrounding Obama.

There are many things I like about Joe Biden and some I do not. He made a remark the other day when asked about the Vice Presidency I found fairly inappropriate and cheeky to boot. He said he had never worked for anyone in his life and to have a boss at this point would be rather difficult!

Joe Biden has been in the Senate since 1973 because the people of Delaware elected him and re-elected him to his post in the Senate. Does he not work for the people of Delaware and the people of this land when sitting on the many committees he's been chosen for? Yes, he has a boss and he has many of them.

I don't really know if he'll be chosen but I still wish and hope for the "Dream Team" of Obama and Clinton.

We've got the list of possible candidates for VP on both sides pretty well narrowed down. Obama's picks are narrowed to Biden, Bayh, Kaine, and Sebelius. Those that are hoping for Obama-Clinton are in for a disappointment on Saturday.

There are compelling arguments for each candidate. Bayh and Kaine would really emphasize the idea that Obama is going to change things in DC. Sebelius would be great to appease many dissatisfied women over Clinton's snub. However, Joe Biden solves more problems than any other candidate and is the most rational choice.

Biden's been in DC seen 1972, which will quiet some critics of Obama's lack of experience. Biden is also strong on defense, another major criticism of Obama. Biden just fits too well into what Obama needs to pass him up.

Biden was really the only democrat i liked this time (despite his blind attacks on Fox News).

lets face it, he was always the most realistic one on the War, and he's had plenty of experience. not to mention his slightly social conservative views (very slightly). he may actually be good for Obama.

Clinton might also do well for him, but they've said a looooot of shit about each other over the past year and it probably isn't going to happen. too much Animosity. plus, Ann Coulter and her crew would most likely vote for Obama if he did choose Clinton (she said it herself [cause she's stupid]).
