I had your faith in "The Man" until I started witnessing some Trump-ism first hand. I live near what is considered a fairly upper class neighborhood in East Texas. My mother's church is located in this neighborhood, I say this so you won't dismiss what her pastor said as mere hillbilly nonsense, he said that "Islam is evil, period." He continued to show the entire congregation a video that explains how the Arabic symbol for Allah is the mark of the beast from the end times. This shit is going mainstream. You have no idea how ignorant and superstitious these Americans are.

Watch how Trump switches sides, never gives details, comes up with unclever nicknames like "crooked Hillary", and projects a strong man persona. Americans are eating this shit up with a smile on their face. They don't want policies or strategies, they definitely don't want nuance. Trump is perfect for our reality TV culture. They main defense the establishment has against populist candidates has always been to deny them the nomination of one of the two major parties. Thanks to weak party leadership on the Republican side that strategy has failed. Hopefully after this embarrassment the Republicans will get some super delegates or something along those line so this doesn't happen again. America has been great because the elites have managed to keep the people from getting what they want.
