There is also New Testament writings about how God doesn't like homosexuality. If you read Romans 1. And 1st Corinthians 6:9.

The problem with that passage is that it was chosen by men with beliefs that homosexuality is wrong as they were around at a time it was seen as wrong. Anyone can write something and then say God told me to write it and you wouldn't be able to prove them wrong as you must take it on "faith" that God told them to write it. Men choose what was to be put in the bible, that women, homosexuals and all life other than men should be treat as lesser. Most of what "God" says in the bible is evidence that "God" is humanities creation. There many passages in most monotheistic scriptures that depict God as warmongering, selfish, blood thirsty, sadistic, misogynistic, homophobic, wrathful (isnt that a sin? Hmm...) unjust and quite frankly malevolent. Now im a atheist but im sure if there is a creator God, it is either not bothered by what what we humans do or with life in general (the deist God) or loves us and chooses not to interfere.

Here's a contradiction for the debate that i assume is yours, referring to the contradictions in the bible. It is stated that god is omnibenevolent, meaning all loving, so how can he hate?

Interestingly, it doesn't say AT ALL why it is detestable, simply that it is.

Out of all of the sick murderers, rapists, child molesters, all of the lies that got people killed, all of the theft of people's hard earned gains...all of this stuff that is wrong, but we'll get our justice in Hell, old God seems much more concerned about two people's private affairs of love. THAT, God appears to think, is just...icky.

Why does God hate homosexuals? Because the men the wrote the Bible hated it, but unlike some of the things they opposed, there was no clear, easy to describe reason why it is wicked so they just said "God hates it" and were convinced it would work. And it does work, even thousands of years after these superstitious bigots started rotting in their graves. Because the Bible was written by homophobes who belive that man and woman should have a relationship, but not a man and another man. It makes no sence. Even the Ancient Greeks, along with ancient humans practiced Homosexuality, and this is before this bullshit bible came out.

Leviticus 20:13 was written by a Jewish tribe. It is an evil passage that should be excised from the Bible.
