Why Pokemon Go Failed

That video doesn't actually have any reasons why it failed. It has all the reasons why it was successful, but doesn't explain how that success faded.

I think it is because they started pushing out updates to make sure idiots don't kill themselves, and it got rid of the things that made the game easier to play. They got rid of the notification system that tells you which way to go to get pokemon. And, they won't allow websites to post where to find specific pokemon. Now that it is harder to play, people don't want to play it. Imagine in the original game if there was no way of knowing where to find specific pokemon. That would be crazy.

agree with Cartman.. they started to make it more easier then before so that people i mean "Idiots" don't kill themselves. And instead of supporting the app people get rid of it. They tried to save people but we did not save them.

I'm not glued to my phone, or make time in my day to specifically go play, but there's no shame in my gaming. I enjoy Pokemon Go, I'm sure part of it is because nostalgia, but I'm totally excited about the Sun and Moon release too, and once I beat that it'll fade as well. What I'm saying is it didn't fail, but the hype has died down.

haha, good points. Yes, I think the funny thing behind pokemon go is that it's actually nothing new. It's literally just playing imaginary games like we did as kids. I find it out funny when people use the excuse, "pokemon go has helped me get out more and lose some weight" LOL.

Really????? Like u couldn't just go outside anyways without pokemon go?? Just make a up a damn fantasy treasure hunt quest and go hunting in the city. But everyone is just too lazy and unimaginative to do that, they need something like this imaginary game to legitimize it.

But I do think that pokemon go can be fun like any game....it's a nice way to meet people, hang out with people of the same interests and just relax a little.....

I think it would be a lot more purposeful if these augmented reality apps/games actually provided some real life benefits and not just imaginary XP, skills, talents lol.

I always find it funny when people are like, "I got 2500 xp and new skill levels super ionic ultrasonic magnetic green zion powers" ......like WTF cares???? If it can help me pay my bills, sure, I'm in! But who cares if you found some imaginary golden zen tooth fairy pooky pouch fuzzy charm ball of rare heavenly ecclestial ceremonies of the 12 candles.

There was a game called Pokemon Go that was popular for a little while?

Hmm...musta missed it. Too busy working and studying I reckon.

If I as a full-grown adult American male am gonna "poke" anything or anybody, it's gonna be my fiance.

But..oh yeah...now it all makes sense. the Pokemon Go thing. I did see a bumper sticker a couple weeks ago that I at the time didn't know what it was about.

It said.............

"Next time you feel like an idiot, just remember: somebody is walking around outside trying to find Pokemon."

I don't even understand why this exists. Pokemon Go is so successful that it's not even funny.

It's still the most popular app all time but it's dropped off significantly and there's a reason why it's losing 15 million users ....that's the whole point and in my world, it's not popular at all. I don't play it, never have, never will. It's a pointless game for people who have nothing better to do with their time but chase imaginary pixels.

Pokemon Go is also a failure because if you think about it, we have masses of people going out spending time and energy playing an imaginary game for imaginary resources......it is a sign of how much society is deteriorating because it wasn't too long ago that humans would only spend time and energy to actually do things that matter, like survival (gather food, protect family, gather resources, earn money, make a living, serve your country etc) but now we've come to a point where we are so comfortable and living such an easy life that we don't even have to think about the "real" things that matter in life. Instead, we spend our time running around like idiots. If they were actually running around like idiots so that they could raise money to feed the poor or end poverty or world hunger or find a cure for cancer, sure, I would be in praise of the app. And one day, the app will be used to do such things, to benefit humanity and the world. But for now, the app and game pokemon go is a failure because while millions of people in this world can barely have any energy to survive, we here in america who are 2/3 FAT as FUCK twiddle on our phones chasing imaginary monsters that mean nothing.

If you can't see how sick and how much of a fail it is, then you're already poisoned and you are no longer able to see things clearly as I can.
