You are as far away from those grounded folks as it comes. Liberals like yourself voted for Hillary, and would never vote for any Republican no matter how grounded he might be. The entire Democrat Party is now made up of Liberals. There would never be a grounded Republican in your mind if he were Prolife. To Liberals, being prolife makes them far right extremist haters of women. This is how twisted your ideology has become. Nope. 20 years ago I was registered Republican. Then I became an independent. I have never in my life been a registered Democrat. I voted for Bob Dole, and Bill Weld. You just could never get over the fact that someone can disagree with you and yet not fit the exact stereotype of whom you think your polar opposite politically happens to be. Oh! Contraire! (sp?) I AM a liberal who has voted for Republicans! I still have my "I Like IKE" button here on my desk. I also voted for Nixon on his second try. (My bad)! He was fairly good the first time, I thought. Trouble is, Republicans have been taken over by a TEA Party (Whatever they wish to call themselves today)! A Tea Party is supposed to be a party for little girls with imaginary friends. THIS one is NO friend to little girls (OR bigger ones who may have made a mistake ... like being raped!) Republicans have been taken over by ultra-conservative radicals that believe in the alternate truths spread by Faux News, Breitbart, (and others). I couldn't possibly vote for one today unless they go back to "Republicanism". Of course, they would also have to re-affirm their faith in freedom of religion and that, maybe, the Second Amendment is as "adjustable" as any other Amendment that endangers Americans in a more modern world. We liberals believe women should have a say in what their OWN rights should be, and not have them "dictated" by white male property owners. THEY earned the right to vote even though it wasn't interred in the "original Constitution". See, thing CAN change for the better, even in the Constitution ... or the Republican Party, which has now been changed for the worse! I could STILL vote for a Republican, there are just none left worthy to vote for. Lincoln? Teddy? Ike? Those were the good ones. Teddy was the complete opposite of Trump! There isn't even a Democrat today as opposite as him. How twisted the right has become! :-( They were defeated by the Electoral College, radical right wing Gerrymandering, and both American and Putinesque lies and brainwashing (alternate truths)! The grounded folks of America, as a whole, elected Hillary! We wouldn't be going through this comedy of errors had the "grounded folks had THEIR WAY! |
