Why did God create the need for humans to eat?

Think about it. It is a dumb question. The best form of communication from a biological stand point would be speech by noises from a mouth of something. If you wish to talk a tongue will be required to formulate those sounds. If people stick random fruits and veggies in their mouth and swallow them then they may continue to devour it. It just makes sense to allow humans to eat. 1

What I'm getting at is, an omnipotent being could create humans without the need to eat, yet he chose to impose this burden upon us. A burden that has caused so much death and despair since the beginning of life as we know it. I realize that good Christian folk aren't really concerned with the fact that 14000 people a day die of starvation while they continue on their merry way holding hands and thanking God that they have food (who gives a fuck about anybody else), but seriously, the question needs to be asked if you're a Bible thumper....WTF God, what's with the food thing? |
