Why do Bigots hate God? You will find they will use the exceptions to justify their hate.
Christians are doing nothing more than protecting our freedoms to follow our faith as written without having LGBT activist groups trying to force our Churches to change our beliefs and doctrine to include Gay marriage, Gay sunday school teachers, etc. etc. FromWithin is trying to claim that Christians making marriage defined as only between a man and a woman was to make sure that his church didn't change. What a deceptive liar. If they don't want to accept these things [within their church], I have no problem with that. They should let anyone outside their church live as they wish. (Again, as long as it's within the Constitution). I think their way of life would eventually cause the church to wither as people came to accept a less restrictive way. 1

I'm not a bigot (in matters of race or religion), so I can't answer that. I also have no "hate" for "God" (or anything else that doesn't exist). No, I can't imagine the utter stupidity of those who hate others for their belief in "God". It's the utter stupidity of those who hate others for NOT believing in THEIR "God" and show THEIR hate simply because of a different belief. Hate isn't "justified" in either case. Whether YOUR moral values come from a "god", or simply from social acceptance, you should follow them, and unless someone else' morals do harm TO you, you should let them live THEIR lives by THEIR rules .. the rules of society. If you insist everyone else' rules are wrong, YOU are a bigot! "Judge not, lest ye be judged." FromWithin signed out "Insecure to the max", I certainly agree. It sounds like you have a moral standard based around not harming people that you are trying to force into others. unless someone else' morals do harm TO you, you should let them live THEIR lives by THEIR rules What if their morals require they do harm, not to you, but to others? Would you impose your moral values to stop them from harming others? It shouldn't be confusing. Moral standards by society do not differentiate between religions, but, cover the moral standards laid out by THE PEOPLE, the MAJORITY, regardless of religion. I do not "impose" my morals on others, nor do I want them to impose theirs on ME. Morals will do no harm to others if they are morals of society. People (as a rule) do not wish to do harm to others unless they have religious agendas behind them. ANYTHING that ACTUALLY harms another should be immoral. Be they gay, Muslim, Christian, Jew, black or white, trans-gender, whatever. If it appears I have an agenda about this, I do. The idea that these "morals" hurt anyone, is not likely unless they feel it goes against their religion. "THEIR RELIGION". I don't feel anyone should "impose" THEIR moral values on anyone else' religion, unless they are harming others. I don't have a religion. I don't like religions. Religions are cruel and divisive as a whole. but, as long as they stay within themselves .. so be it. I don't "impose my moral values" on anyone! I go along with what society as a whole considers correct (usually), and if someone feels "society" as a whole hurts them, they should find another society to live with (or live within their OWN society!) Stay out of the rest of the world. |
