Why do people believe in the big bang?

What is it with the Big Bang? Why do people find it so easy to believe in it instead of Creation???

its the most logical thing, since we know that the universe is expanding at a very fast rate, and is going father away from us, it must have started at a single, tiny point, and then it must have been blown away by something of great force, and therefore we have the big bang, it isn't a perfect theory, although no theory is, buts its the best and most logical one we have without going into "god did it"

Occam's Razor. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam's_razor)

Occam's razor states that the simplest theory is usually the most likely. I think a universe creating itself from nothing is much simpler than a higher power creating itself from nothing and then creating an entire universe for some reason we don't even know.

The Big Bang is a cosmological model that is heavily supported by scientific evidence.

Creationism is a primitive myth which assumes the truth of its claims in the absence of evidence.

People only believe in the big bang because other than God there is no other way of explaining evolution.

How does the big bang explain evolution? Evolution seems well supported without it.

ohh I'm positive there's other ways, we just haven't found them out yet, and we may possibly never will.

Why do people believe in God?

Humans have always sought to understand why we are here. Some seek it through religion, others through science.

Those who have sought the answers through science have found evidence that the universe began as an extremely small, hot, dense state and is continually expanding. Thus the Big Bang theory makes sense of the information we have.

I don't believe in the Big Bang Theory. I only see it as a plausible theory.

Creationism, on the other hand, I do not see as a theory at all. Just some idea that people made up because they couldn't figure out how the hell the Universe started.

The Big Bang Theory has some evidence to back it. I just don't believe it to be true just yet because there are still WAY too many unanswered questions. And, just because it's likely that the Universe IS expanding, does not exactly mean that the Big Bang HAD to happen. The Big Bang merely tries to explain why the Universe is expanding.

But do I even believe that the Universe is expanding? No... but it's still pretty plausible.

The only theory I actually believe in a lot is Evolution. But that's because it's practically irrefutable. It has some holes, but holes that merely need filling and do NOT harm the theory. We don't know everything about evolution, but we know enough to say that it is EXTREMELY likely. Gravity, on the other hand... okay, I'll trust gravity as well. It's just a mathematical mind fuck 0.o

To me, the big bang sounds logical.

but it remains a theory.

But it definitely has more proof than Creation.

The Recipe for the Universe

1 mix nothing with nothing

2 wait

3 mix in nothing again

4. wait

5. mix in nothing again

6. Nothing will explode and you will have a Universe?

now thats just stupid.
