Because sociopathy is characterized by a lack empathy and unwillingness to cohabitate. And people like that thrive in a capitalist system where lack of empathy and selfishness can further ones career. Also they can be even more driven by the goal of having enough money to isolate oneself. Have their own car so they can avoid public transit, afford a home isolated from others, afford to fly in a more spacious and private class, ect.

Any statistic will have outliers. And i would argue Bezos proves my point instead of disputing it. Amazon workers are paid trash wages for the wealth the company has.

Because getting emotional rather than rational can land you in less-than-optimal strategies in life.

Those that get furthest in life are sociopathic in practise but passionate deep down which is why they are so driven so in the end sociopaths end up out-done by competitors who actually feel an urge and passion to achieve in the career they are in.

You have called me a parasite and a "science nerd determinist" and said I have no emotional intelligence yet you admit that you are a determinist, that you don't care about anyone but yourself and a few other people which makes you a parasite to society and the ecosystem and now you are admitting that capitalism rewards sociopathy but you would rather go along with how things are then try to change it because you are a selfish, ignorant vile fucking disease. You call yourself a "genius" but I have never seen a true genius conforming to a sick society.

Saying my rude words don't make me a better person than you doesn't make me not a better person than you. I am not even trying to make myself look or feel better than you, just point out that you are much worse than you think and all of your passive aggressive character attacks mean nothing. The way you see things, life is just a game, you pride yourself on knowing "the rules" and you have acknowledged that sociopathy is how you win the game. But that is life as the sociopaths have made it, what separates the trash from the non-trash from the super-trash is whether you are ignorant of how things are, aware and wanting to change it or aware and willing to go along with it. You seem to be the latter, which makes you super-trash.

Deep down you don't need to be a sociopath. You can be a caring human being full of passion but first you let emotions rule your thoughts then you won't get far is all.

Now we are getting into a multi-angular subject. There is a balancing act you need to play between emotion and "cold/calculating" thought. And that balance is different depending on the context and the subject. Basically you are correct but the problem is that emotion is just a more complex form of a basic impulsive reaction to stimuli. In other words emotions are a core response, and thought is something built off of emotion and smaller reactions in the brain. Thoughts are a collection of co-ordinated micro-emotions on a neurological level. At the end of the day, there is nothing inherently rational about sociopathy nor are they free from emotion. As to the rationality of it, it depends on the context, it is sometimes smart to act that way and other times it is not. But what is really rational is when your emotions and rational thoughts align with each other, then you realize that it is rational for society to be based on improvement rather than sociopaths fighting over power and money.
