I celebrate the 4th of July because it's when my country gained independence.

I celebrate the Fourth of July because I am an American who has been protected, enhanced, enabled, given opportunity, kept safe, kept free, and any other number of passionate topics that has allowed me to be me. Not the me someone else or some other country wants me to be. The world is messed up everywhere, but less so here in the US.

I'm not USAian.

I usually don't celebrate other countries national celebrations.

I see myself as a human, not an American. Nationalism was never really my style to begin with, so it makes sense that I've never cared much patriotic holidays.

Well I don't necessarily "celebrate" the 4th, but I do remember all those who died in the Revolution and also in past wars. Truth be told, no one thinks about the foundation of this country when the celebrate the fourth. All they think about is what beer their going to get I do cook out though. Nothing like a tasty steak.

i'm not American. and there's nothing in India to celebrate on the 4th of July otherwise as well. i celebrate a few other religious festivals which are celebrated by people around me (such as Christmas and a few others).
