Why does the Bible say that women are the weaker sex?
i mean women are the ones who have the babies, go through hormone changes, etc. When they did an experiment showing men how horrible child labor is, the men freaked out.

Do you know how much strength it takes for a woman to push at least one 9 pound baby out her you know what after 12-24 hours of labor with no pain medication and not kill yourself? My Mama is badass. She was in labor for 24 hours, nothing for pain. For millenia, women had to do it that way. Thank God for c sections, and epidurals, but I digress. I think the reason why women are not as physically strong as men is because their strength was needed elsewhere, or they would die. 1

It's hard for them to push out the baby because they are weak. The weaker you are, the more work you have to do to accomplish something. There are strong women who pushed out the baby with ease and little to no pain. That's because they were in shape before during and after pregnancy, with work outs and flexibility training. These women are the strong women, the ones who scream through all of that pain are weak. Just because you go through a lot of pain does not mean you are strong. 1

One should say, all things being equal, men will be the strongest. Some women are not only stronger than some men, but are able to put on muscle more easily than some men as well. That said, if you take a man and a woman who are as close to genetically identical as is possible, with the same diet, exercise regimen, and other factors- the man will have more muscle cells and fibers than the woman, stronger and denser bones, and both muscular and bone strength will be improved more easily in the male. By and large though, it should be noted that external factors are far more of an influence on this than sex is. It's only in the realm of professional athletes with serious regimes and diets where the difference between the sexes is magnified as much. Any average woman can become as strong or stronger than any average man; she may have to work a little harder, and she will have a lower top end, but how many people actually come close to the top end? 1

As I remember women is called "the weaker vessel" and the Bible says that men should treat wives as the weaker vessel. Actually definition of the weaker vessel does not say that women have less rights or women are less important than men. In fact women are weaker physically and mentally than men because last ones always rescue and protect women. Perhaps women called the weakest sex in order to men to treat them with patience and knowledge and lead them in their lives. |
