Why don't Democrats help more African Americans into middle class? Could it be their vote? (58)

Why don't Democrats help more African Americans into middle class? Could it be their vote?

After decades of race bating and calling the GOP racists each election, one must ask themselves, why do Democrats do so little to help get so many African Americans out of poverty and off the welfare roles.

So answer me this, if the majority of African Americans moved up the ladder into middle class, who do you suppose they would vote for? The Democrat party already knows the answer to this question. The majority of the middle class historically votes for the GOP because they hate having so much of their income redistributed to the Democrat's lower income voting blocks.

So why on earth would Democrats want to lose that constant 90% Black vote? If they actually followed through with all their campaign rhetoric each election, it would be like cutting their own politcal throats.

It amazes me how little has been mentioned concerning what can be done to break minorities out of poverty during Obama's term. I thought he was going to bring special attention to the plight of African Americans? If even a Black President cares more for issues such as gun control, Gay marriage, Global warming, etc. but never addresses the terrible pubic schools in minority communities, the gang problems and ways to fix it, you have to ask yourself why?

The answer is obvious, no matter all the Democrat rhetoric, they are happy keeping minorities tied to Government social programs because there in lies the power, the power of the vote. It's so sick how the Liberal media allows them to get away with this for decade after decade.

You ask what has the GOP done for African Americans during their terms of office? First of all the GOP stands up for helping all Americans out of  poverty no matter who they are, no special tretment to any group. The GOP has been trying to allow school choice for charter schools, private schools, etc. because these schools have a much better record when it comes to educating the kids. Ask yourself why Democrats are always opposed to school choice, to helping minorities afford better schools and not keeping them funneled into failed public schools. They do it to control the people's minds, indoctrinate them into political correctness, and keep them tied to Government.

It is so obvious but with the help of the Liberal media, minorities will keep right on voting for Democrats. All for the free subsidies, free food stamps, free cell phones, free healthcare, etc.

How sick the rhetoric from Democrats, still telling them they are victims of racism and will never get ahead because of the Rich White man holding them back, so vote for Democrats and we will support you.

It should be fun to see how many people you ban this time.

You'd think you would eventually either stop banning people and try to have a legitimate debate, or leave and go to a different website.

I guess I'm hoping for new people who will actually admit the obvious things being done by the Democrat party. Until I meet that person I am happy with banning people who refuse to admit the obvious. It's a waste of my time.

This site seems to have only a few people who debate so you are probably right, I should go elsewhere.

Maybe this site is like Liberal radio, they have so few followers, the stations drop the program. This may be one of those Liberal sites that gets no following.

You ban people regardless of ideology. If they disagree with you on anything, you declare that they are liberals and silence them.

Edit: By the way, you just admitted you aren't looking for a debate, you want people who will "admit" that your opinion is fact, so why come to a debate website at all?

Okay then, if it's so obvious, please elaborate. We'd all hate to waste your time not knowing the answers.

Also a bunch of atheists. But that goes hand in hand with being a liberal. That's why it's almost impossible to win a debate on religion, on this site.

In order for your argument to be valid you must be claiming that everything the Democrats have proposed has not been blocked by Republicans. So, are you really saying that everything Democrats have wanted to try has been done?

FromWithin(8241) Disputed

No, how can the GOP block non existent programs? If by everything you mean affirmative action policies, then yes the GOP has tried to stop discrimination against any color of skin. If affirmative action is the only way Democrts try to move minorities up the ladder, then what does that tell you about the Democrat's confidence in African American workers?

FORCING people to hire particular races is what creates the anger, and keeps the flames of racism alive and well.

1 point

No, how can the GOP block non existent programs?

Correction. Yes, the GOP can't block non existent programs. Now you have a debatable position.

If affirmative action is the only way Democrts try to move minorities up the ladder, then what does that tell you about the Democrat's confidence in African American workers?

You have it backwards. They have no faith in whitey.

FORCING people to hire particular races is what creates the anger, and keeps the flames of racism alive and well.

Well, not exactly. Forcing people to hire races doesn't create anger, it is the idea that if the person screws up like a white person that they can't be fired. Anger goes away when the black does a great job.

You might want to take a look in ol' Harry ' s circular file. As leader of the senate, he didn't allow any Republican bills to be voted on. Pot. Kettle. Black

That doesn't matter. Did the House vote on Democrat bills? You can't accuse Democrats of not trying if the Republicans blocked them. If the Republicans have great ideas, then them blocking everything the Democrats propose is ok. It works the other way, too.

Every election, liberals make the same promisses to blacks, and every time, they break those promisses. Blacks are still on the reservation. They're still slaves, and they don't even realize it.

What promises do they break?

Don't play stupid. You can't possibly be that clueless. Guess you never followed a democratic election before. Or do you just vote straight democrat, like all the other useful idiots?

Its easy to point the finger at the government all the time, but sometimes we need to take matters into our own hands and look at ourselves, and I think the African American community's in America do need to this! just purely raising more African Americans into the middle classes doesn't solve a deep routed problem it merely masks it!

I agree, there is a great amount of personal responsibility for our status in life. I don't blame the Democrat party for all the problems in the Black community. I bame them for playing politics with the Black vote, playing the race card against the GOP and using the victimization excuse and never blaming the culture and the personal choices people make, as with dropping out of schools, selling drugs, joining gangs, etc.

I blame democrats for not allowing school choices which keeps people in failed public schools.

Can you highlight for us what points are open for debate and which points are the incontrovertible rhetoric of this character you have created?

I believe it is not about being black or being poor.

All minorities groups vote majority Democrat.

That is what I said when I also mentioned minorities. Democrats know that people will vote for politicians who give them free stuff. Hence the race bating, the pandering to generous welfre programs, Obamacare, etc. etc.

Our nation is in a very dangerous place where our leaders are being elected by people who pay no taxes. The welfare roles are growing every year and that voting block is what Democrats pander to. NO QUESTION ABOUT IT!

The middle class are losing their say in who our leaders will be. When those who pay no taxes elect our leaders, how long do you think it will be before we go bankrupt?

You notice Hillary's free College strategy? Just as I say, Democrat's election strategies are based on buying the vote no matter our debt.

We have the best government money can buy. But you know what? That money is our taxes that we paid. I want my money back.

I don't think it has to do with free stuff.

If you guys ever learn Spanish or Chinese, read the newspapers during election time. They list a set of Democrat issues/candidates to vote for during election time.

For some reason, minorities, especially newer immigrant generations identify with the Democrat party.

The middle class are losing their say in who our leaders will be.

Your definition of middle class differs with many of the other definitions for middle class. It is hard to discuss the issue with no official definition.

I was wondering how many different names do you go by? It must be sad to have to pretend you are someone else to deceive people.

1 point

Who else do you suspect him of being?

It's not the governments responsibility to decide who is rich and who is poor. Redistributing wealth is what Bolsheviks do. The only responsibility of the government would be to try and help eliminate any glass ceilings blocking African Americans from success. Other than that it is down to them make their own success. If you don't believe that you're not a true right-winger.

FromWithin(8241) Clarified

I agree with that stuff you say but my argument is on how Democrats pander to low income voters. Democrats REFUSE to tell minorities that it is up to them to live responsibly so they can climb the ladder to success. Democrats live and breathe telling them it is not their fault but rather the so called racist GOP, racist cops and rich white men who hold them back.

Asian Americans are the most successful group in the population (including caucasians). They still vote majority Democrat. I don't think teaching immigrants to climb the ladder to success will change their vote.

1 point

Why don't African Americans help themselves? What's so special about blacks that they should receive special attention to help them up the ladder which everyone else has to struggle to climb themselves? It's time for the 'Bongo' to accept that they are genetically inferior and stop blaming non whites for their woeful shortcomings. They are round pegs trying to struggle into square holes where they are unable to compete in the free trading, democratic nations of the west. They should try Liberia.
