Will gas prices fall below $3

Gas prices have fallen about 20 cents this year in the US.

Will the US average price per gallon fall below $3 in the next year?

When I created the debate, I didnt expect it would happen, but it did.

As of 11/3/2014 the national average for gas was 2.993 and is apparently still falling.

The worst part, and this is just something I read, is that gas prices falling is apparently not even a good thing!

Like wth. To reiterate, I don't even like to get my hands dirty with politics, so I literally have no clue the validity of the argument, it's just something I read.

not even a good thing

yea, it definitely depends on what people mean by "good".

- does it indicate a slow down in economic activity in China, India, Europe, etc.?

- will cheap gas encourage more driving and flying which produces more pollution?

- will it slow the transition to cleaner alternatives?

it depends on perspective.

Side: Yes

It was over $3.70 in June and is now $3.12 - it is already under $3 at several gas stations near me.

With Ebola resolving and the holidays coming I assume it will start going back up, but it might at least dip below $3 for a moment.
