Big continent, not many people has its advantages

Of course not mate, why would they/we? Sure, Sydney and Melbourne both have significant east Asian immigrant population, but it's not all ethnic han. There's a lot of Vietnamese and Korean communities as well as larger southern European enclaves. Hence, 'multicultural'. In 2006, there were only about 670 000 people in Australia who have han ancestry by the ABS 2006 Census. A little over 5%.

Economically however, yes, it is very likely that Australia will be 'taken over' by China, since Australia, with it's low population and large resources, is embedded within the primary resources market, and China's growth is driven by manufacturing, so it is almost undoubted that Australia's future economy will be dictated largely by Chinese demand for resources, and China will continue to be a significant player in the Australian economy due to both geographical proximity and economic compatibility.

But this is not 'taking over' in the political sense.

it depends what u mean by 'take over'. if by that you mean make us a monarchy and turn all australians into slaves probably no. FREE WILL PEOPLE!!!
