Really, how do you know? It seems to me that it's more likely to be his brothers, same style of writing and all, but Srom's a) honest enough not to lie about other accounts and b) not quite that racist. Ignorant, yes, but not to that point
Srom now has 6 accounts, to my knowledge. He has made public debates proclaiming that he isn't making duplicate accounts, with his duplicate accounts. He has continuously lied about his knowledge of these accounts (for example, he claimed to have no knowledge of the account "Killerbee", only to then say it was his brother). And some of the account names are just plain dumb: Mors777, Srom1884. He must be trolling.
I think the second half of your statement raises a larger question. Srom clearly knows very little about Islam and its relationship with Christianity. But is this just through ignorance, or underlying feelings? I would say (and rather hope that) the former is true. Alas, I do not know for certain.
Really? I thought he didn't say he didn't know them, that was the other accounts who said that. Deception for sure, which is not very Christian, but I don't think he's doing it for humour, simply because he thinks it may work. Who knows.
If I had to guess, it would partially be through ignorance, and partially through influence. In the US especially, but the entire Western world, a certain image of Islam, and of the Middle East of a whole, is projected to everyone. Especially someone like Srom, but really the entire population, soaks it in, and internalizes it. But that specific message, that they're cursed because they're Islamic, is not a message that I've seen before.
So, I first hope that it's not Srom, I like him, he's a nice guy. If so, my best guess is one of his brothers. If it is him, then I would hope it is both ignorance and propaganda, if he knew more, he'd change his mind. He's not a lost soul, just misled in certain areas.
Srom: "Also I don't know CaptainUSA he is just some random dude."
Also Srom: "CaptainUSA is my 10 year old brother"
So that one is definitely his. Srom 1884 is his too.
Srom: "Yep srom1884 is not mine. I don't own any other accounts.""
Also Srom (Referring to Srom1884): "Stop messing with my bro cause if you mess with him you mess with me"
Mors777 is Srom backwards, that's probably his. KillerBee and Naruto are also probably duplicates, though I couldn't say for sure.
As for the main point, I definitely think propaganda has a part to play. I wish not to tarnish the American populace with the minority, but Islam is portrayed as something, well, less than Christianity, shall we say? Especially since 9/11, Islamophobia has increased, I would assume, though I could be wrong.
I'm surprised you've never seen the whole cursed message before. It's rather common among fundamentalists of any religion, although I do find it surprising to be coming from a 15 year old.
And it's similar, but not to the same extent, in England, as much as I hate to admit it. The entire world is ignorant to what they don't know, and most people don't know much about other cultures. I know I wouldn't if I hadn't moved out of England, I was just as bad. And Islamophobia has definitely increased, look at increased profiling, political attacks at the Middle East (Iran especially), responses to the Ground Zero mosque, there's many examples. Before 9/11, and the London bombings, people were apathetic. Since, I feel that there's public opinion that Islam's real, it's here, and it's bad. Increased awareness isn't always good, if people get the wrong information, such as what is often taught by these fundamentalists, although I wasn't aware that it was quite so bad.
That is so bigoted, we love Jesus, we believe in One God, really we just believe in one more prophet than you do. And those "rebels" I suspect are mercenaries.
