Women and Men will never be equal

Women and men are just not equal and never will be. The only way they can be truly equal is by being seeing there unequal flaws as simply just disadvantages. To see a women as equal, you have to simply see her as a man who just happens to be more weak and emotional. Equality between the sexes is a privilege, not a right because women aren't being treated equally. They're treated as special cases who need extra attention. Is that equal? Giving them a boost when the only way they fought there way above a man is by shouting inequality. They can work and benefit society as a whole but then when we cross the line and pretend they'll benefit the very things they suck at because of there anatomy. That's not equal. That's giving them special golden steps to feel good about themselves.

You're probably right, but, we men shouldn't give up! We can at least try to keep up. ;-)

Of course they won't. Liberals made sure men would be last place from now on.

I think women should have the same rights as men do in the workplace. But in general I believe men were born stronger for a reason. They are meant to take action, control and lead. It's been this way for centuries. Women should not be our equal, because they are precious beautiful creatures. but in the end they have the right to chose whatever they want.

Maybe some women like to have the control and power. This 2017 and a few year from now their will be more lesbians and bisexuals because of men who think like this. Why be with someone who doesn't see them as a equal.

Strength doesn't make you more powerful than a women. Brains beats bronzes these days. Why should strength make us unequal? Next your going to say black people are unequal to whites because of their skin color and slavery. "It's been this way for centuries."

I might have chosen the wrong word, I meant that most women that I've met told me they prefer men who toke charge, made them feel safe and protected. I'm not saying men are better than women. I believe each gender has a role, If each of them decided to change the norm, just because we live in the future, Life will change, maybe for the better, maybe for the worse. In the end, and I say it again, each individual has the right to chose whatever they wont, they have that freedom. I'm just stating my opinion.

Men and women traditionally have specific roles in society, and both psychology and psychology reflect this: while there are always exceptions, men are typically stronger than women, and vary quite a bit more in regards to intellect (women are far more consistent in this respect). Further, men have traditionally been considered more expendable than women (largely due to the fact that the reproductive capability of a population is far more dependant on the number of women than men), and usually serve supporting roles (such as childcare and housework), while men are typically the "bread winner" of the household, performing more, and often dangerous, work.

This, of course, means that treating the two sexes entirely equally will result in problems for both, an example being young boys receiving poor grades in school for acting out due to natural hyperactivity.

Yeah we'll never be equal but that's a-okay with me. A man can't punch a woman in the face and it be okay. We are not equal. Not just physical wise but we don't even mature at the same levels. We won't ever be equal so accept it

Side: Pro

What does this mean exactly? Equal on what field?

Men and women will never be equal, SIMPLY, because of genetic makeup, and the social aspects that come with that makeup. Men will never be able to spontaneously pop a baby out of their body. Women will never get testicular cancer. Men will never be able to take maternity leave. Women will (probably) never be required to sign up for the draft.

If you're speaking about other types of equality, let's look at a few.

The Gender Wage Gap: Any serious economist will tell you that the gender wage gap is absolutely nonsensical. It doesn't exist. According to a study done in Time magazine in 2010, women actually earn 8% more on average than men in 50% of U.S. cities. The wage gap is immediately debunked when you factor out the types of jobs being done, the amount of time in the workforce, the amount of time taken off, the number of hours of work, their college major, etc. It's not real. If it was, what intelligent employer wouldn't employ ONLY women, so that they could increase their own payroll?

Catcalling: Oh no. You're out in public in a tight red dress with your cleavage hanging out, and a man yells out that you're hot. Whatever are we going to do?

Grow up. You're telling me that no woman (let alone a majority percentage of them) have ever "catcalled" a man? It has nothing to do with misogyny or sexism. It has to do with basic biology and chemical reactions making you feel sexual attraction to a person's exterior, and vocalising that you find them attractive.

Someone's complimenting you. Boo-hoo.

Rape Culture: Are you kidding me with this one? You want to talk about inequality? If a crazy man gets drunk, and has sex with a woman, and wants to go to the cops and report it, he'll get laughed off and the case will never be taken seriously.

If you reverse this situation, the man's life will forever be ruined because of "possible sexual offender" claims made against him. Law enforcement always believes a woman who says that she has been sexually assaulted.

Personal experience: I was sexually assaulted when I was 14 by a 19 year old-girl. When I try to tell people about this, the biggest response that I get (even from women) is, "What are you complaining about? She made your teenage fantasy come true!"

Yeah, no. It wasn't a fantasy. It was horrifying, and I was afraid. It isn't a "teenage fantasy" when someone is forcing themselves on you and won't stop.

If you reverse MY situation, and reverse the gender roles, everyone would be horrified upon hearing this story. They would call for the man's balls in a jar.

Go ahead. Dispute me. Tell me that I'm wrong about this.

There's your inequality America. Do with it what you will.

Women and men are just not equal and never will be.

Depends on the type of equal you are talking about. Wanting the same status, rights and opportunities, and suggesting we are all the same both physically and mentally are very different.

The only way they can be truly equal is by being seeing there unequal flaws as simply just disadvantages.

It's not a flaw for some women to be weaker than men, nor is it a flaw for some men to be more emotional than women.

To see a women as equal, you have to simply see her as a man who just happens to be more weak and emotional.

You don't need to compare, you just need to see her as a person, just as one would see a man as a person.

Equality between the sexes is a privilege, not a right because women aren't being treated equally. They're treated as special cases who need extra attention. Is that equal?

Equality between sexes should be a right. True equality doesn't treat women as needing special attention, just recognizing that there are differences between men and women and making some adjustments for it. Much like it's easier to have a family bathroom so both fathers and mothers can take their children in a gender neutral stall.

Giving them a boost when the only way they fought there way above a man is by shouting inequality.

They haven't been fighting to get above men, they have been fighting to have the right to be on equal footing. To be recognized as people that are just as capable at contributing to society as those who have, in the past, seen them as objects. It's easy to shout inequality when you've been denied the ability to get a job because your husband thinks you belong in the kitchen.

They can work and benefit society as a whole but then when we cross the line and pretend they'll benefit the very things they suck at because of there anatomy.

As with any job, if you are unqualified to meet the requirements (such as a job that requires heavy lifting but you can't lift) then you shouldn't get the job. But if there is a way that changes can be made to where a person CAN do a job and they are qualified, then they should be given the opportunity and not just be told no because of their gender.

We all have differences, some may need more than others, some may not. While people may never be fully equal either physically or emotionally, we do deserve the same rights.

Not all women are weaker or more emotional. What do you mean their anatomy makes them suck at things?

Side: Against

Not all women are weak and emotional. There are many stronger women in this world. Women and men could be equal if men stop seeing them as tool and housewives, and thinking that all women act a certain type of way. I've seen women lift weighs than many men.

That's like saying a couple Democrats claim to be prolife so therefore the Democrat Party is Prolife.

Do Democrats ever get tired of making excuses for their special interest feminist groups?

Just because there are a few women who constantly lift weights and can lift more weight than the average man, does not make women and men physically equal.

When you take weight lifting competitions, men will ALWAYS beat women!!!!!

Spew your politically correct lunacy at a feminist gathering. Most intelligent people know the truth. Trump won because of Political correct fools in the Democrat Party who try to say up is down.

Trump won because of Russia, and high powering business people who were scared of having to pay more in taxes. Why blame democrats for a republican candidate? Lets blame the republicans who thought he would be a good president.

1) Concluding they can never be equal adds zero value to society. All you do is put it back generations.

2) The conclusion ignores the many real life scenarios where a particular woman has a better ability or skill than a particular man. Instead you just feed in to an old and often false stereotype.

3) How can you claim to be better when you have such terrible grammar?...

"being seeing there" should be "by seeing their"

"to see a women as equal" should be "to see women as equal"

"fought there way" should be "fought their way"

"there anatomy" should be "their anatomy"

1) Concluding equality requires proof of the possibility. So far, no proof has been discovered. Women and men are not equal, just as all people are not equal. This isn't because "society" has taught us so, it is because everyone is fundamentally different. Real equality is not possible.

2) Yes, some women are far better than I am at certain things. I accept this. And it is the same vice-versa.

Equality doesn't mean literally identical, physically or mentally. It means that they are morally equal, equal in the eyes of the law and treated equally fairly by others. It is a recognition of inherent value of a living being, regardless of physical differences.

In todays society we see women as sex objects which are once used and thrown away. Similarily, if women were treated like women then gender equality will balance. However men can't treat women equally. Because men feel jealous and outraged about the fact that women is simply better than them. I have to admit there are things that women can do and men cannot. But there are things men can do and women cant. So the imbalance will always stay the same.
