I've always wondered why all the predicted catastrophes stemming from the dreaded CC, have not happened. The ice caps are not receding, the polar bear population is growing, sea levels have not risen anything near what was predicted. We just finished a very calm hurricane season. What's wrong with this science thing? 1

I've always wondered why all the predicted catastrophes stemming from the dreaded CC, have not happened. That statement isn't true. You actually wonder why some predictions that were made have not come true, and those predictions tended to be the ones that were loudest and most likely to get attention from the media. The ice caps are not recedin As of all of 3 years ago. That's really not doing much to discredit the prediction that as things get hotter, ice will melt. It's just demonstrating that it won't be as fast as a few people predicted it would be. the polar bear population is growing A claim that requires one to trust entirely undocumented and unverified claims about the polar bear population from the 1960's. Now some populations are verified as growing, which is being directly attributed to the restrictions on hunting and environmental damage caused in certain parts of Canada. sea levels have not risen anything near what was predicted. Again, by some. Pointing to the most vocal claims to try to undermine the claims of the entirety scientific community is just silly. It's like pointing to certain crackpots who would go on and on about how the government wants to take everyone's guns so that they can put us all in FEMA camps, and pretending that because that happened there therefore isn't any risk of future gun control provisions being proposed. We just finished a very calm hurricane season. What's wrong with is science thing? What's wrong is that they can't get people to listen to what they are actually saying, so people (such as yourself) hear an incredibly limited snippet of what some vocal people say that gets repeated on the news because it gets ratings instead of hearing what the legitimate predictions actually are. 1
