Would You Want to Live Forever?
Organizations like the Immortality Institution (http://www.imminst.org/) actually think this might be obtainable in the near future.
So, if you had the option to never age, would you take it? Note, everything else would remain the same. You'd still feel pain, have to eat, go to work, pay taxes, etc.
An analogous debate might be "Death: A Waste or a Release?".

I have always said that I would want to live forever, I would love to live as every other person in all of time and I would love to have the ability to stay awake indefinitely without getting tired... but I like sleep so I'm not too sure about that last one. Imagine how much you could learn if you could live forever as yourself! Imagine how much you could learn about the nature of humanity by living forever, or living as other people. Imagine how much you could learn about the world when you should be sleeping, while everyone else is sleeping... Bah, it frustrates me just thinking about it. I will die soon (in a universal sense), and I will spend a good portion of my life sleeping, and I will never know what it's like to live in someone else's shoes. :( Side: yes

Living would be so tiring after a while. Haven't you ever witnessed an elderly person who is completely prepared and willing to die? There's a fantastic story called "Nosotros, no" by Jose Bernardo Adolph that deals specifically with this and was an influencing role in determining my feelings on the matter. I encourage you to find an English translation and read it! Side: No
The problem with living forever is that you'd live in this world forever. If I were Bill Gates, and had an near infinite amount of wealth, living forever wouldn't seem so bad. However, seeing as I'm not and never will have those kind of resources, working in dead-end jobs for eternity isn't terribly attractive. Side: No
Never age? Ya mean, be 25 years old forever? If that's the case, heck no, although it might be fun if I was rather, like, 37 forever instead... then I could learn the ropes of the people and the country and become president and do some wicked stuff. (just kidding, kind've). But otherwise, not really. I don't know. I don't think I'd prefer that. Sounds like I'd commit suicide at some point and get the hell out of here. But on the other hand, if I could be guaranteed a life until I was like, 110 years old, (or just 100), I'd go for that. Side: No

Living forever would not be fun for me. I'm sorry. Well, here's the thing: I wouldn't mind living to be like 1,000 years old or something, but only if I could keep my health. I wouldn't want to grow old dying. If I was coughing up a lung for 900 years, that wouldn't be fun for me Side: No
